Pick this up to take out on the trail with us because it’s super space-saving and when it is full it stays upright and does not collapse inside my refrigerator. It is also microwave safe which is super helpful.

I like the idea of using silicone, a natural element, instead of plastic. This is a very pretty container. I got the large size.If you buy this make sure to read the lengthy fine print. It says boil in water for ten to thirty minutes before first use.My jumbo pot is in storage. I used a large stainless pot but the container did not fit. So I lowered one half into boiling water. Have tongs or waterproof heavy gloves on. This thing gets hot. Had to do the lid separately.Also, instructions say the container material will change color if you store food containing red Chile, turmeric, curry powder. So consider if a discolored container will bother you.I am keeping it, but if I knew the details in advance I probably would not have made the purchase. I bought several round folding silicone bowls on Amazon. Am wondering if they require the same boiling before first use.I bought them for to put in my cooler while camping. Have not tried any of them yet.

I was looking for silicone storage containers that could substitute for the plastic ones I had used for many years, and I was pleased to find these- I purchased three sizes, so that I have options when stowing leftovers. They are great- no worries about toxic chemicals leaking into food, and they go in the microwave, freezer, or oven to 425 degrees. The lids fit well and contents don't leak. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Space saving

Like another customer said, I also looked at the box the container came in and the materials said food grade. I was super excited to finally find platinum grade which is supposed to be safer than food grade and consumers are willing to pay more for it. Food grade silicone is not worth 20+, especially not just one container. If I wanted food grade there are other containers I can get for around the same price but come in a set of 2 or more. Also, it had a strong smell out of the box that I don’t recall my platinum silicone Stasher bags having.1 star for the false advertising and price gouging.
