Timex Men's Expedition Field Chronograph Watch

This is a fantastic watch. For its price you get a lot of features for your money. First off, the design is well thought out and the dial has just the right mix of modern and vintage. The markers are plainly visible with a slight aged patina. The luminous hands have a nice skeleton design that allows you to see the sub dials underneath.The hour markers have a nice little recess into the chapter ring that is a nice touch that gives it an attractive high quality appearance. Thats a feature not typically found on watches under 100.00 usd. The watch has the trademark timex indiglo backlit dial, while not bright, is very functional. Indiglo is a cool feature that is not found on more expensive watches and is useful in movie theaters or in any dark area. In addition you get 100m/330ft water resistance which makes this perfect for every day wear and outdoor use with little fear. The strap is a cordura like khaki fabric with a signed buckle that is of quality better than watches at 3x the price of this timex. Bottom line its a great buy and is a welcome addition to anyones collection who is looking for a classic yet modern field watch for little money. Youll be happily surprised by its quality.

The watch seems to be fine. I noticed I can't get the second sweep hand on the watch for the stop watch to line up perfectly to Noon like it is supposed to, but if it takes a beating and keeps on ticking like other Timexs I own and still have, then I will be satisfied. It claims to be water resistant to 100 meters or 300+ feet but am not sure how will it will work in those conditions as I won't have an opportunity to test it. The face is handsome looking but the numbering takes a little getting used to as 12 noon is sixty, 1 O'clock is 5 and 2 is 10 etc.

Timex has been a watch I have owned for most of my life. At first because it was super affordable. Now Timex is still ultra affordable but the watches look great! The indiglo feature is still useful and even more so on a chronograph like this. I find this watch fascinating as it looks great, works great and was so low cost.When I received the watch, like others, the chrono hands were off. I know this is a common problem with quartz movements like this. So pull out the crown to the first click and use the chrono pusher to set the minute hand to zero. Now the harder part is to pull the crown to the second click. I didn't realize this needs much more force to pull out. But once it's out in the second click (position), use the pushers to reset the big second hand and the right side dial. Once set, you are good to go. Press the crown in to light up the dial. This is a great value watch that looks awesome!

All those who want an affordable field watch and have grown up with Timex watches should have this in their collection, great watch, solidly built and looks stunning. A piece of advice - don't return the watch just because the needles are not aligned, all chrono owners know how to do so, for beginners - warch a tutorial in youtube.Amazon - Thank you, I live in India and was looking for this piece for years, bought two of them, both are amazing. The media could not be loaded.  I have a few watches from several brand names covering a variety of prices but this one is probably one of my favorites for the price.We’ll build and the band is great. Easy to read! Great outdoors watch.I will say the watch is a little heavy but it feels good. Love the black face. Great to any occasion.Also the 43mm is a great size IMO for a men’s watch.

Unreliable watch. I work emergency services and need a reliable watch. 1 week after purchase the momentary back light wored intermittently and shortly after stopped working completely, which would be fine if the illuminated hands were actually visible. lastly the watch is allegedly rated for 100M depth, shenanigans. 10 feet of water drove the final nail in this coffin at a depth that is literally 3% of the rating.will not buy another and I do not recommend for anyone seeking a reliable watch.

First if your chronograph hands are not zeroing per Timex you can reset them using this simple method:TO ADJUST THE STOPWATCH HANDS TO THE ZERO POSITION:1. Pull the crown out to position 2.2. Press pusher “A” to move the stopwatch minuteand second hands counter clockwise to the zeroposition. Press pusher “B” to move the stopwatch minute and second hands clockwise to thezero position.3. Push Crown in to position 1.Watch looks and feels like a more expensive watch. This will easily become my everyday watch as the 42mm case is not bulky and should rest comfortably on most wrist sizes. Watch is easy to read and the indiglo works very well on my charcoal dial model with khaki markings; I believe the blackout (with red accents) models may appear more dim.I briefly had the Citizen Chandler chrono which was roughly 4x's the cost that I paid for this Timex. Additionally, I found the Citizen Chandler chrono difficult to read in comparison to the Timex. The only point the Timex loses against the Citizen Chandler is Citizen's eco-drive, but the Timex's indiglo justifies the loss of solar capability.

An excellent product at this price point (cost me less than Rs 2900-).Its got the looks of a nice big military watch with the matching canvas strap.For once, the colours as depicted in the photo is exactly the same as the watch.To all those noobs over there who crib about the seconds or minutes hands of the watch not aligning with the numerals / markers - please download and read the user manual! There is a corrective function to align the hands properly, in case of need.

The watch looks pretty good.. the dial looks sweet.. has indigo and a chronometer.. definitely would recommend this

I love this watch. I got the black and khaki option with the very durable and nice looking wrist band and couldn't have chosen a better colour scheme. My only problem with it is that I have to clue how to use the stopwatch function and because of this, the second hand always goes out of sync with the smaller chronographs.
