Ajax Tools 875 Flange Wedge Straight

I bought these to pry a very very difficult steel baseplate that had been grouted to a concrete floor. This plate did NOT want to detach. These amazing wedges have a relatively sharp front edge, that stood up to being pounded into the grout with a 12-pound maul. When the gap became wider I could stack these wedges and still keep going. Good surface finish allows them to slide easily. At the end of the job these only looked shined up a bit. These are an excellent quality tool steel that has been well tempered to be tough. Despite a hundred blows with a maul nothing chipped.

Best wedge ive used to date for fitting pipe. Nice and long so it makes it easy to pry pipe, wood, etc apart as well.

I wish it was as clean cut as the product picture. Im sure it will still do the job but im not sure it will stay in place when hammering in a flange.
