Kappa 693M 6" x 9" (168mm x 240mm) Three-Way Car Speaker - Pair

I wanted to love the Infinity Kappa 693M. On paper (and in the short time I’ve been able to test an undamaged one), these are clearly designed to be a premium upgrade: a 6"x9" 3-way coax, 3-ohm design with 94 dB sensitivity, 35–40k Hz frequency response, and 120W RMS (360W peak) per speaker. They also include Infinity’s Plus One glass-fiber woofer cone and edge-driven silk dome tweeter, plus a 0 dB / -3 dB tweeter level control to tame brightness depending on placement. The good: when they’re intact, they sound seriously impressive, clean highs, strong detail, and a punchy, efficient presentation that gets loud without needing ridiculous power. The feature set is exactly what I was looking for in a “better-than-stock” 6x9. The deal-breaker: reliability out of the box. I’ve had multiple shipments arrive with damaged speakers, to the point where I’m spending more time repacking and exchanging than actually enjoying them. And it doesn’t feel like I’m alone, there are other buyer reports mentioning loose tweeter assemblies / quality control issues even when packaging looks fine. If you get a perfect pair, these could be phenomenal. But after repeated broken arrivals, I can’t recommend them unless you’re buying from a seller with excellent packing and hassle-free exchanges (and you’re willing to keep rolling the dice). Infinity does offer a manufacturer's warranty, but that doesn’t help much when the problem is “arrived damaged… again.”

These are a solid upgrade if you want better clarity and a more lively sound without going into a full custom setup. The highs are crisp, vocals come through nicely, and they handle volume much better than factory speakers. They are the kind of speakers that make the whole system sound more awake. Great option if you want a noticeable improvement right away.

Impresionado con la potencia que manejan estos Infinity. Los bajos tienen buena pegada para ser unos 6x9 y la construcción se siente muy robusta, nada de plásticos baratos. Los puse para reemplazar los originales y ahora el sonido tiene mucha más profundidad y cuerpo. Si tienes un buen reproductor o amplificador para sacarles provecho, no te van a defraudar. Se ven geniales y suenan mejor.

I had to make it fit into my 2010 dodge challenger but they literally sound amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the sound quality. But yes they are big and I used my stock speaker adapters and I had to cut them to get them to fit. I also had to use self tapping screws because it fit into slightly off so the holes didn’t line up. But the sound quality is absolutely worth it I promise!!!!

First of all speakers and grills look amazing. These speakers require a very deep recession so do your homework. When I got them open first thing I noticed was on both speakers the Tweeter bridge was Very loose. My thinking was defective product they cannot be manufactured like this. I took them to a local sound shop they were kind enough to open a set they had for sale, sure not as loose but not lock down firm. After thinking about it I decided to keep them. They sound good but only time will tell if I made an error in judgment. I haven't found any info or write ups on this situation. However I don't think I'll go Infiniti again.

I've never heard any speakers that come close to these my mind is blown. Not joking or exaggerating. I have had JL, Rockford Fosgate, kicker, MB quart, JBL, and several others. The way these sound is perfection. I am feeding these 6x9s 100 Watts each. INFINITY 🔥💥💯🔊

Llegó muy rápido, realice las instalación se escucha increíble. Los coloqué para un camioneta Ford F-150, modelo 1982. Y quedaron excelentes, potencia y claridad. Lo recomiendo. Saludos

Fast shipping and great price, I have been in Car Audio for many years and have heard and used all types of brands. I tried the Infinity line many years ago and have stayed with that brand since. I still use Rockford Fosgate (specifically there power series Amps ) but I go to the Infinity Kappa line now for my components and rear speakers. The sound and the power is outstanding for the price. Clear crisp vocal's and great bass. Just like anything in car audio do your home work, make sure you match your RMS for your speakers with an amp that has matching or close RMS ratings and you wont go wrong. I like to keep my amp RMS per channel as close to my speakers RMS. For example if my speakers are rated at 110 rms x 4 @ 4ohms , I like using an amp that is rated at 100 rms x 4 @ 4 ohms. I like to ensure my speakers are powered properly and I can tune the sound how I like it and ensure there is no distortion. I just recently acquired a Kappa mono amp and a Kappa 4 channel and the quality and performance is amazing. Solid products and I will continue to use them in all my vehicles. I highly recommend Infinity Kappa products there great. I have also used some reference speakers and they performed well also. Great brand and company.

I got them and they look amazing!!! Such beautiful speakers. But unfortunately I wasn’t able to even try them because they are HUGE 6x9 speakers. I would have to cut my jeep cherokees door internals for them to fit and I don’t want to do that. I imagine they would sound sooooo good but I wasn’t able to test. Because they are so big I put 4 stars but I have no doubt that they would be a 5 star if I was able to get them installed
