very effective, good tool
this is not a fun tool to use, like a chainsaw, but it gets the job done. i removed the grout on 24 square feet of bathroom shower wall between 4x4 in. tiles in 3 evenings/nights (w kids and a job, you find time to work when u can). these are smallish tiles, so the task was tedious, and the dremmel, as you probably know is loud - plus its dusty work in a pretty small space, so not a fun job. but our old grout cracked in some spots, and was allowing water to leak through the tiles, so it had to be done. the 1/16 in blade fit between the tiles quite well, and our grout lines were very thin - in a lot of places, it eroded the edges of the tiles a little, but even those places look great, and held the new grout without a problem. inspection of the blade itself after the job shows zero wear and tear, i would predict that for removing grout, this blade will outlast the dremmel itself, and could easily handle a bigger job than our humble bathtub walls. if you have old, thin grout lines, and its time to redo it, this is the tool. we had some damage behind the tiles that required installing new drywall, so this project turned out to be a little bigger than i hoped, but i was expecting that. in summary, this project ended up looking great, the grout blade saved me a lot of time versus removing it buy hand. i estimate a tile pro would have charged us somewhere near $500 bucks for the whole job, and i spent about $100 on thinset, grout, drywall etc. i saw this blade in several stores, but the amazon price was $10 bucks cheaper (got here in about 4 business days), so overall, there's a couple bucks i can reinvest back into some other project - homeowners know, they're never ending!!

Mortar in Grout Lines
Fantastic with 1/16” grout lines. Doesn’t fit DeWalt DCS355, so not quite universal fitment but fits Milwaukee 2526 just fine. The variable speed Milwaukee works better cutting mortar (more control.). Cleared 250 ft of hit or miss mortar out of grout lines in just a few minutes. The blade cuts well through 6 day setup Schluter All-Set cleanly.

Removed Grout--Saved Re-doing Whole Bathroom
I had to have the wall opened in order to replace old water pipes. The plumber didn't think I could take down the old tiles without breaking them but it was either that or replace three whole walls of tile. I was not able to get new tiles to match the old ones (55 years old). I started with the Dremel rotary grout tool but those didn't last long. I bought the Dremel Multi-Max and used the 1/16" blade and removed about 40 tiles, breaking only two and losing a couple where the faucets came through the wall over the tub. I got near-matches to put behind the toilet where they don't show and the whole job came out great. Only one caution: this blade will cut the tile and in some cases the tile edges got messed up--those tiles went behind the toilet. The blade also cut off the tile spacer lugs and plastic spacers had to be used when replacing them. Once the grout was removed I used a heat gun and scrapers to soften the adhesive and remove the tiles from the wall. Then a heat gun and scraper to clean up the backs of the tiles. A lot of labor but it saved a lot of money.

Makes grout removing easier
This is my favorite attachment to the Dremel oscillating tool, it makes the job of replaceing grout in bathrooms much easier than how I used to do it. I recommend it and that you buy an extra, just in case, allows you to continue a long job but switching out in the middle of the job. A fresh unclogged blade does wonders! Please click YES if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

Great tool
Used this on my dremel multi max to regrout my bathroom - and it’s incredible. Removes grout quickly and easily, and it never seems to wear out. One thing - if your tiles are set closer than 1/16” apart, as mine are, it will cut into the tile. For me this wasn’t a problem - I have white tiles and I used white grout, so you can’t really tell the tiles were cut into a little. In fact, I now have even spaces between the tiles throughout the bathroom, so it ended up a positive. I would just say go slowly and let the machine do the work. If you apply too much pressure, you will chip your tiles. Position the machine so that your view of the blade is clear, and keep the blade moving in a straight line along the grout line, and avoid hitting the edge of the tile.
