A great book

This book has a great explanation on suspension at the beginning and break down the suspension design in every era. Author also added some of his personal experience on different cars, giving example to better explain the car suspension. I would recommend this book to anyone who interested in car suspension.

Excellent! - The author presents complicated technical information in such a clear and readable way that you cannot put this book down.I am a professional car designer, so well versed in the subject and consider this one of the best automotive books I have ever read.Highly recommended - I will be reading more of Mr. Edgar's work.

I haven't read for fun in years, but this book was so interesting that i read it cover to cover. Mr Edgar has clearly put in the time to research and understand vehicle dynamics and all these old suspension systems. If you want to understand suspension and how its progressed, with accurate descriptions and informative diagrams, this book is what you need. Up next for me is Milliken's Race Car Vehicle Dynamics (supposedly the bible for vehicle dynamics).

A fascinating history of suspensions, all the way back to the horse and buggy, with good non-mathematical explanations of how they work. A great book for the mechanically curious. Many illustrations .

This is just the way you should address the subject. Plenty of clear diagrams with good explanations. Very much enjoyed this book - just rereading it again.

I enjoyed the sidebars and personal anecdotes as well.
