Pretty Good Oven Gloves
Got these for the wife, because she's always burning herself. These were the most inexpensive, but appear to be exactly the same as some of the others; the only difference being that the others stamp their company name in the little ovals on each glove. My hands are on the big side, and I wear usually wear XL gloves. I guess my wife's hands are 'normal' for a 5' 4" woman, and clearly smaller than mine. Probably about average for a woman. I tell you this for reference in the attached photos. My hands fit just about perfectly in these gloves. Each finger hits the end of the glove, except the pinky, while the web parts are in contact with the interior, so I guess these were made for people with my sized hands. They're actually a little snug, and the first time I made a fist with them I was worried they'd rip. But no, they held up fine.My wife's hands, on the other... hand, are way too small for the gloves. She still uses them, but says she has to be extra careful to ensure she's got a good grip on whatever she's removing from the oven. The extra finger length and interior space, along with the additional padding of the thing are definitely not as 'glove-like' as it could be for her.But she still likes them better than an oven mitt or pot-holders. We have a gas stove, and these solve the problem of pot-holders catching fire, and too much eat on her wrists and arms when reaching for a pot lid on the stove. As I said, these are perfect for me, so cooking on the grill is so much better for me. And despite the fact that they're a little large for my wife, she still loves them. I took one star off only because we wish they had a men's size, and a women's size.

good for small fingered people
I like that they are gloves rather than mittens because they make it easier for me to grip hot pots or pans than mittens have done. I like that they really do prevent the hand and wrist area from burning. I take size seven and a half in gloves normally, and these gloves fit me lengthwise in the fingers. My husband said that on him they did not feel very secure, so they may be best for small hands. However, like many silicone things they are quite large and a little clumsy for trying to grasp thin edges (of cookie pans for example). I am glad I have them, but I would still prefer something that made me feel as if I had more control over the pot or pan in my grasp.

These silicone mitts are a dream!
I just got into artisan sourdough baking a week or so before the holidays. Using Chad Robertson's "Tartine Bread" book as a guide, I crafted the Country Bread recipe into loaves that looked and tasted so good, they became much-appreciated holiday gifts for friends and family. In order to make this type of bread required several new tools. For this recipe which uses a Dutch Oven inside a 500 degree oven, hot mitts are a necessity! I was using a pair of silicone honeycomb pads to ferry my super-hot Visions glass Dutch Oven in and out of the oven, but it was trick and I had to be very careful. These silicone mitts are a dream! They fit either hand, are cloth lined, and do not get hot for the few seconds I'm transferring the Dutch oven back and forth from the work area to the oven. The photos shown here are with the above-mentioned honeycomb hot pads. I don't have photos using the new Oven Mitts, but rest assured, that's all I'm using now!

Bontip Heat Resistant Oven Mitts Silicone Waterproof Kitchen Gloves Long Baking Mitts
These are way to big for my little hands but they still work. I stuck my hand into my instant pot to pick my artichoke out of the water and did not feel the heat almost at all. I was amazed! I think the lining is what gives this the real heat protection factor as I have other silicon gloves and they do not keep the heat at bay nearly as well. If you think about it we use silicone for baking and the food bakes just fine. So why would you think that wearing a silicon glove alone will help save your hands from burns? Get the lined gloves and save your hands.

Good gift for the wife.
My wife received some silicone gloves as a gift from her son and she loved them but she always had problems picking up trays in the oven. She remarked once that she thought if the gloves had fingers it would be easier for her. I saw these and figured I could score some points by surprising her with a little gift. The price was right, so here we go! They arrived as promised and looked as though the would work fine. She loves them and uses them daily. The only complaint is that they have a shorter gauntlet than her mitts and she has gotten a couple of burns on her arms from misjudging her reach.Overall I would say that these are completely useable, and a pretty decent price point.

They work!
I'm using these gloves in a restaurant environment, pulling chickens on angle iron skewers out of a rotisserie. The skewers are at 350ยบ when they come out of the cooker. The gloves insulate well for the 2 minutes, or so, that I'm actually handling the skewers.I find the fit a bit small and I don't have large hands. My only real complaint is, the texture on the surface of the gloves makes them fussy to wash. I can't just run them under running water, or wash them while still on my hands, in a sink of hot soapy water without using a washing towel to get into the crannies.I'll be interested in seeing how long they last. They're replacing a very expensive pair which began tearing out at the thumb joints in just a matter of months.

Protect my hands
These gloves are a bit klutzy for my small-ish hands, but they do a great job at protecting me from the heat of cast iron pots preheated to almost 500 degrees. These gloves are far, far superior to any potholders I've used. They're a bit less flexible than I'd like and too big for my admittedly small hands, but that just means I need to be more careful in grasping hot items. So far I've had no problems and am delighted to have them.
