Küchenprofi Set of 2 Egg Cups with Oval Base, White Porcelain Egg Holders for Hard or Soft Boiled Eggs, 3.5-Inch by 4-Inch

These are unique and beautifully designed egg cups both visually and functionally. I like their clean modern porcelain design, very understated, but I especially like the asymmetry of the design. By placing the "bowl" to one side it leaves a little place to lay the removed top of the shell from the opened egg. The bowl part is rounded just enough to keep the egg from rolling around, unlike some which have a flat bottom which doesn't allow the egg to stand securely. Obviously designed by people who enjoy soft boiled eggs.

I have been looking for an egg holder for quite a while, but haven't found any one that I really like. When I saw this one in Amazon, I knew that this is the ONE. It arrived super fast. The package wasn't great, but I'm happy with the products, it holds the eggs well, and the side of the holder is very convenient which can hold the egg shell (top) etc. Now I can eat eggs without peeling shells every morning, yeah :)

The product seems good; was a bit misled. The manufacturing location is conveniently missing from the profile, This product is not manufactured in Germany. It's manufactured in China.

Best little egg cup.. don't be concerned about the reviews of not holding the egg suggly- it works! I do buy large eggs and although it does have a little room, the egg is not going anywhere. The weight of the egg holder is solid and sits nicely in the hand for reclined eating. I also bought the rubberized tripod egg cups for the kids that sit on a plate with toast 'fingers' with lots of room for toast. Dipping toast fingers in the soft egg yoke is not practical with the porcelain set. The small area of the porcelain set is just right to add salt, butter, and a dab of butter. So I bought both styles of egg holders - but I prefer this set to sit on the porch and enjoy an egg in this little egg cup/plate.

I was looking for a charming (Hyggelig in Danish) way to offer soft boiled eggs for breakfast when my Danish relatives visit (there are many of them!). In searching for something different, I stumbled upon these here. Goodness! They are so sweet! With their slightly off-white color, they really warm up the breakfast table with a place to lay the top of the egg once removed, as well as the spoon. I have only used Jumbo eggs, so I can see where other reviewers said the smaller-sized eggs did not fit snugly in the cup. But I have had no problem with the larger eggs! I ordered more in case I break one, so I will still have enough for cozy family breakfasts. This is a treasured addition to my serving ware!

I waited to review these cups until I had used them for a while. I ordered 4 of them (2 pcs in each order). They are very sturdy. Dishwasher without issue. They stack easily and solidly. They hold the egg perfectly and the oval side allows you to place the top, or a spoon right next to the egg. I fully peel my eggs (personal preference) and cut my toast into sticks to dip with... then I just pick up the egg and eat it.... but it worked just as well leaving the shell and topping it. I like the heavy white porcelain and the sort of modern oval base. I also love that they stack (wasn't really expecting that) and they wash up easily and safely in the dishwasher. I estimate the ovals are about 3 1/2 to 4" at the longest point. They look so nice on the breakfast table in my opinion. I like that they are the usual "egg tower" cup - I usually knock those over - but I am a classic klutz too. :) I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I do hope this info was useful to you as it is the only reason I bother to write my fully uncompensated reviews! :)

I was hoping, after reading some reviews that said it worked fine with Large eggs that I'd find them seating them properly as well. Not so. The Extra Large eggs I tried placing in this holder wobbled, so if I were to try to carry this plate across the room, I'd not be sure the egg would remain in the plate cup. The material of the plates was beautiful and a very nice weight. I just wish they had it in a size that would accommodate typical large or extra large eggs. It is a very shallow base as well, so some might have problems with their clatters when trying to open a loose egg in this holder.

These holders are not deep enough to support using with an egg. Also, the "plate" part is not large enough to even rest a spoon.

These are so cute. The original pic does not do them justice. The quality is lovely. They’re so well made, the cup itself fits any size egg and the extra space beside the cup is perfect for egg shells or to rest a spoon. They’re very elegant and I’m so pleased with this purchase.
