One happy walking man
I’m a freelance copywriter/screenwriter. I have the most sedentary job on the planet. To counter that, I walk daily between 3-5 miles. Despite maintaining that exercise pace, ever since I quit smoking I gained back about 40 pounds of the nearly 100 lbs. that I lost 6-10 years ago to cure myself of diabetes through physician-directed activity and diet modification. Yes, biology is a bitch. But the flipside is for many early diabetics it is possible to cure yourself through lifestyle modification. That's part of what makes plantar fasciitis a devil. It snuck up on me, not when I was at my heaviest, but after I’d successfully started reshedding the regained pounds. A word about plantar fasciitis. WebMD says that “the plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes.” I say imagine how a scorpion sting would feel there whether you’re walking, sitting or especially getting out of bed first thing in the morning. If you suffer from plantar fasciitis then you don’t need to imagine it. I was gobbling 600-1200 mg of Motrin every day and it was barely taking the edge off. But it’s the socks you want to know about. I ordered two pair. My foot is a 10.5 2-4E and I’d ordered the XL sock. The minute I got them I ripped open the package and put the left sock on. The sock offers medium compression. Enough that I feel supported, but not enough to limit circulation. So, the sock is a good fit for my wide foot. Putting it on immediately knocked at least 60-70% of the pain out. Since only my left foot is affected I had the bright idea to turn the right sock inside out. It works just as well. The ZaTech sock, though sturdy, is thin enough to wear as an “undersock.” The sock’s moisture wicking is excellent. It keeps your foot feeling clean and dry. Between the sock and an arch support, I’m back nearly to my old pace with very manageable to negligible pain. Sitting, my foot used to be painful. Walking up and down stairs was agonizing and made me feel 90 years old. Not anymore. In the last week, after my 3 mi. circuit the pain diminished to the point where I’m no longer gobbling Motrin. A huge plus. I’m slowly working my way up to my old pace and distance. I’ve also started reincorporating the stretches I learned from another bout of plantar fasciitis 4 years ago. I will never be mistaken for an athlete, but I am disciplined and serious about my exercise. The Zatech compression sock has helped restore much of the joy of that workout. And to Jen, the co-founder of ZaTech. I’ve got to say, as a fellow small businessperson with decades in advertising and marketing, the personal note was a nice touch. I don’t know if it’s ZaTech’s policy to contact every buyer of their products, but her email inspired this long, detailed review. I’ve not received anything in consideration for this review. I bought it. I love it. I’m giving it my strongest endorsement. Signed, one happy walking man

Took away the dreaded pain following daily activity
I work out quite often, I hike quite often, and I go on backpacking trips quite often. What do these three things have in comment? they all leave me in so much pain I would rather lay in bed than chance the pain of pressure on my heels I've purchased quite a few plantar fasciitis products and they did not work at all for me, which has been a bummer. I then came across these with such glowing reviews and thought hey why not? I bought 2 pairs for an upcoming backpack trip. The first day we walked roughly 12 miles through some flat/hilly/rocky terrain while carrying 43lbs on my back. At the end of it I was pain free, this was a good start. The next morning I woke up and I still had some very minor pains in my heals, but nothing like I would have felt had I simply worn socks. A couple of stretches and I was able to get up with no pain. Each sock is labelled so you know which foot it goes on (as long as you know your lefts from rights). The arch support / compression is excellent along with above the heel. They're also very cool (temperature) socks. My feet get a little warm while hiking, but when I take my boots off and the fresh air hits my feets holy smokes.. instant cool down. I'm writing this review because I just bought my 3rd pair of these and figured if anyone reading this has debilitating plantar fasciitis, then hopefully you have as good of luck as I have with them.

Buy these socks, but it may take a couple of sizes to try out
These socks work for me. I have spent literally thousands of dollars on my feet. Custom orthotics, expensive shoes, shots, massages, and electric foot massagers. I have very bad feet---Collapsed arches/flat feet, wide feet, bad ankles, and constant battle with Plantar Fasciitis. I tried the 3/4 foot compression socks and they worked, but after a day of being on my feet, they pinched my forefoot/toes and hurt almost as much as the Plantar Fasciitis. So these are great, and I fit into an XL, as I wear an 11.5-12 standard, but now I've ordered a large and mediums to increase the compression. With a good pair of over socks, no more foot pain, arch pain, and plantar fasciitis. It is been a long time coming, after 30 plus years of foot pain. I am going to give it 4 stars only as they are too thin to wear as 1 pair of socks, especially in cleats etc.. Make them thicker, so these socks are all you need, and I will buy at least 20. Also, they are always out of stock of gray, they must sell the most, so make more. Still, best socks for my foot pain (collapsed arches/flat tires, plantar fasciitis, and ankle pain). Please make them thicker for regular shoes and especially feet. Charge more, I will buy more!!!

Correct Size, SUPER Tight!
These socks are so pretty (Pink & Black) and sporty looking. So A+ on aesthetics. They also seem well-made and I like the thickness of the material. My complaint lies in the level of compression. I absolutely ordered my correct size (small, as I am a size 6/6.5) and the overall fit is perfect. However, the compression is SO tight that I was literally out of breath after struggling to get both feet in the socks. (Now, I do have medical issues, so I am not saying a completely healthy person would wind up out of breath but it was a struggle, and not one I think I could see myself having half asleep in the middle of the night if needed.) Also, I suffer from neuropathy in my hands, as well as my feet, and the process of getting these socks on was not kind to my poor fingers and knuckles. I am returning the small and taking another reviewer's advise of trying a size up to see if that loosens them a bit. Very good quality, though!

Aussie man size 10 Wide feet and the X-Large size fits perfectly. So much nicer a sock with the toes enclosed very comfortable within the shoes. Aching pain stopped almost immediately as mentioned by the user of these socks. Loved the modern design too. They are tight but they are meant to be tight and once you get them on they don't feel quite so tight, just the right about - but yes they are a bit tight to get on, just persevere and you will make it. Ideal for around the home or for work and just fabulous for long distance travel either in the 'plane or in a car. Will buy again.

Worth the rather-high price! Bought one to try. Worked so well, I bought two more in different colours. My plantar fasciitis went away when I started using this socks. So I thought I'll save money by using my other, cheaper socks again. Not a good idea. My injury started to flare up. I right away went back to these socks and my injury seems to be healing again. It's a wonder socks! I'm buying three more in different colours! (Edit: I've since bought my three more pairs, so I have these socks in six colours now: pink, red, orange, yellow, blue, black). Yippee! A word of warning though. I bought an XL for all 6 pairs I currently own. They're tight on my female, not-broad feet that's a US8.5 (female) or US8 (male). I'm not overweight. So anyone whose feet is bigger than mine will really struggle to put these on.

These socks are comfortable. My ankles were well supported and I didn't get the pain in the balls of my feet that I usually get.
