Really cool little experiment to do with the little ones. Better for older children maybe 4 or 5 and above for there is a lot if "waiting" for it to grow(8 days total). Easy to follow instructions and everything included.

I got this crystal kit for my son. It probably took a week to grow, but was worth it. Every morning my son would check his crystals to see how much they grew over night. A simple science project with really cool results!

I bought two as a gift. When making them, one grew as normal and turned out nice, but the other developed crystals on the top which than fell down and prevented it from growing anymore. These were nice crystal growing kits for the price!

I purchased this for my daughter a while ago and it didn't incite the level of excitement I hoped it would. Not only was it quite messy, but it also required time for the crystals to grow. With a young child, it can be difficult keeping them excited about a gift that requires them to wait for an extended period before they can truly enjoy it. While it might be fine for older kids, I would definitely not recommend for kids younger than 5.

This was a Christmas gift to my daughter and it was a great gift. It is recommended to rinse and replace the water after 7 days but we let it sit for longer like 12 days and the crystals grew a lot more. Very cool idea for teens.

This is a Christmas present for my 6 1/2 year old grandson who loves doing experiments.

Bought this for my son for Christmas and followed the exact instructions and its been 3 weeks and nothing. Super disappointed. Didn’t grow at all. Didn’t glow at all. Waste.

This is a nice small set for an 8 year old , If you read the instructions correctly you will end up with a glowing crystal but the process from start to ginish requires adult supervision . Once the product is finished the crystal has to be put up out of reach of smaller children .
