great product and reef safe
bought this sunscreen because where we were traveling you could be fined if you weren't using reef safe sunscreen. this sunscreen went on easy and soaked in well. i appreciate that its mineral based and not filled with a ton of chemicals like most brands are. I also liked that the bottle turned color when you had UV exposure. We like the product and use it all the time even if it doesn't need to be reef safe.

This is the sunscreen I've been looking for my entire life
I've tried almost every sunscreen under the sun. I've used lotions, sprays, sticks, always above spf50. I apply every 2-3 hours and always after swimming. I make sure the product isn't expired and you know what I STILL GET BURNED. BUT THIS ONE- I wore it on a carribean vacation so I was out in the sun constantly and NO SUN BURN AT ALL. I've officially become a blue lizard fan and will buy nothing else. The product is thicker than traditional sunscreen and you may need more than you traditionally use but it is so worth it. The smell is very slight if at all. It did not stick to my clothes at all. I went swimming with it on and it honestly was still on even after being in the ocean. I still reapplied to be safe but I could feel the first application still on my skin. I used the lotion for all over application and the spray can to help with getting my back and reapply on my legs. I used the little deodorant stick to apply to face and ears. All were very easy to use. And that's the only downside I have. You do have to scrub a little bit to get it off at the end of the day. For me not a downside at all because I know it was worth it for the sun protection and I would have had to scrub to get all the sand off anyway.

Skin Care
Satisfied. I keep it for not only my self but for my children and grand and great grandchildren that come to enjoy the swimming pool with me. Good product!

Best sunscreen
My family and I use only Blue Lizard sunscreen. We think it's coverage and sun protection works best.

Good sun protection but leaves white streaks after sweating
I really wanted to like this sunscreen after seeing it make a lot of lists for best sunscreen for runners. But for whatever reason, about 15-20 minutes into my runs and I've started really sweating, I see white streaks in my elbow crease. I've started developing weird tan lines in my elbow crease if I don't consciously try to re-rub and re-spread the sunscreen in my elbows periodically during my runs. If I only use the sunscreen for lower impact activities, I don't get the white streaks. It's as if from the sweat it pools the minerals from the sunscreen into my elbow crease. But yet I don't have that problem with the sweat mix with my sunscreen on other parts of my body. I've also switched to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which ironically isn't meant for sports, but I don't have the elbow crease white streaks issue with that sunscreen. I will say, this Blue Lizard sunscreen does rub and spread easily and doesn't leave a white cast after rubbing it into my skin. Although it does feel mildly greasy after I'm done applying it everywhere. I've switch to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which doesn't feel greasy but it does leave a slight white cast on my tan skin, but I'll rather have that than deal with frequently needing to re-rub/re-spread the sunscreen in my elbow creases when white streaks form.

Go to sunscreen!
Mineral based sunscreen was recommended to me after second degree burns. I love how the bottle changes color when UV is bad.

The Sunscreen That Bullies the Sun Back Into Space
I bought this sunscreen because I wanted “protection.” What I got was a defensive military alliance with my skin. First off, this is mineral sunscreen. Not the flimsy, watery, “good luck out there champ” lotion. No. This stuff applies like you’re icing a cake for a wedding between you and survival itself. You don’t rub it in… you negotiate with it. Within 12 seconds of application: • The UV index dropped 3 points • The sun filed a harassment complaint • A nearby cactus apologized to me I wore it hiking at noon in Arizona, the hour when shadows evaporate and asphalt begins making life choices, and I came home looking like I’d spent the day inside a Costco rotisserie chicken bag. Not a hint of burn. Not a whisper of pink. My freckles packed their bags and moved north. And the famous bottle turns blue in UV light? Not a gimmick. That’s not a warning. That’s the bottle screaming: “THE SKY IS ATTACKING.” Sweat-resistant? Buddy. I perspired like a malfunctioning lawn sprinkler and this sunscreen held formation like Roman shields. The sweat left. The sunscreen stayed. I’m pretty sure it’s still on my elbow right now remembering the good times. Downside: You will look slightly ghostly for about 90 seconds. Upside: You will remain alive. Dermatologists recommend reapplying every 80 minutes. This stuff recommends the sun reconsider its career. If the apocalypse involves solar flares, I’m not going underground, I’m just bringing this. Final verdict: Not sunscreen. Skin armor.
