Very helpful for my Gerd problem

I was on 40-80 mg omeprazole pretty much daily for the past 7 years. I was diagnosed with GERD and my symptoms, without consistent use of medication, were severe. I have tried various other dietary, lifestyle and supplemental remedies, with either little or no noticeable relief. I initially used this product to try and taper down my daily dose of omeprazole. The purported mechanism of action made sense to me. After that proved so effective, I decided to continue using this product and dropped the omeprazole completely. I have been symptom free for over five months. Even if my symptoms ultimately return, I feel it is a win to even spend part of the year without needing to rely on prescription medication. I hope Life Extension never discontinues this product.

Has made a dramatic difference in what I can eat. Not cheap but worth every penny.

These work for Gerd and acid reflux IF you do it right. Right before bed I take Mylanta first. I wait 5 minutes to make sure that went to my stomach then I chew one tablet. (2 is too much for me). I make sure to have water near by and chew and drink water at the same time. That's important because the water reacts with the ingredients to form a barrier to protect your stomach. It really does help. I only give it 4 stars because 1. The taste is the most horrible sour/bitter taste ever. It's really hard for me to handle the taste. 2. The instructions could be better for this product. 3. I think it would be better if the wafers were half the size they are so people could adjust the dose better. I usually alternate between these plus Mylanta and the Gaviscon Extra Complete from Great Britain. Not the version from the U.S. the Great Britons version is like a combination of this product and Mylanta. And it tastes WAY better. However, it's not as strong. So, if I feel I are too late or had a stressful day, I use this product. My last complaint is that often it only gets me 3/4 through the night. That's better than nothing. But I can't handle chewing more a 3am.

Trying to get away from pharmacy drugs with all the side effects. This is one that doesn't work for me. Good luck

I really struggle with the bicarbonate “bite” of these so I dread having to take them. However, the berry flavor is good and, most importantly, they work when I’m having reflux issues. I have eosinophilic esophagitis so I’m used to a host of swallowing and reflux issues and I’ve taken pretty much every form of antacid - supplement and pharmaceutical - that is made; these work! Plain and simple.

I have significant GERD and a hiatal hernia, and really have really suffered with terrible stomach pain and indigestion for years. Life Extension is a reputable company and I use many of their products. So I was excited to try these. I read how this product is supposed to work in a more natural way so I was encouraged to try these because I do not want to take the Protein Pump Inhibitors because they have very serious side effects with long term use. Plus Protein Pump Inhibitors and everything else including prescription Pepcid, Pepcid AC and Tums causes dementia with long term use. This worries me greatly. These tablets are very large and like chock but they are much softer than chock. They are like having a large piece of soft chock in the mouth that immediately swells up and soaks up all the moisture in your mouth while it is expanding at the same time. This alone made me gag! I thought I’d choke on just just one tablet expanding in my mouth! I’m so glad I didn’t try two tablets at the same time. I might have choked to death and would have vomited for sure. The taste is also dreadful! Life Extension tried to cover the taste with a very tart strawberry flavor-but it too is too sharp tasting and just adds negativity and nasty experience when your desperately trying to chew and swallow it. It actually expanded so quickly that it burned my tongue a little before I could chew it and finally choked it down with water. That awful taste lingers in my mouth for a very long time. I would strongly caution against swallowing this tablet whole because it might choke a person when it expands in the esophagus. It might even burn the inside of the esophagus going down. It did burn my tongue. These tablets are nothing but pure nasty and possibly dangerous in my book. No way would I try another one. Plus I felt no relief after it was in my stomach but I only took one not two as recommended. I honestly wanted to like this product but I’ll be returning them for a refund. They totally gagged me and therefore were nothing short of disgusting! Don’t waste your money on this product.
