Quickun Copper Tube 3/16" ID × 1/4" OD (5-6.35mm) Seamless Round Pipe Tubing (3.28FT)

I received the Quickun Copper Tube 1/4" ID × 5/16" OD Seamless Round Pipe Tubing (3.28 ft) and overall it performs as expected for small fabrication, HVAC, or DIY repair projects. The tubing arrived straight, clean, and free from visible dents or kinks, which is important if you're planning to use it for fluid or refrigeration applications. The copper feels solid and uniform, and it cuts and flares without excessive cracking when using standard tubing tools. The seamless construction is a plus because it helps with durability and reduces the likelihood of leaks when properly installed. I also found it easy to bend carefully using a tubing bender without collapsing the pipe walls. This length of copper tubing is about a yard long and is adequate for most needs such as splicing damaged line. I noticed that the specifications seemed to indicate that wall thickness was .001" thinner than normal nominal tubing of the size, but working with it i could not tell a difference. I used it to splice an old copper line and it worked fine.

Unfortunately I waited too long starting this project and I'm past the point of returning. This wasted my valuable time and money because the dimensions are incorrect. I have two flaring tool sets that work fine with every other copper tubing I've purchased... this one being the exception. The OD of this pipe is undersized by at least 25 thousands (of an inch) depending on where you measure. Neither of my flaring tools can clamp down tight enough to get an acceptable flare, the tubing pushes right through the clamp. One of the flaring tools I purchased is brand new from the hardware store. Both tools work just fine with the older 1/2" OD copper I have here, which is .500 (half an inch on the money, +/ - .005.) That's what it's supposed to be. This tubing is .465 to .475. And NO, I am not measuring areas that were bent. The whole lenght of material is like that. I'm really disappointed and PO'd. I wasted a lot of time trying to make this work. I guess the manufacturer cheaped out and made this tubing smaller than it should be. Maybe the section I got was defective. It would be great if the seller reached out and decided to make things right. If they do, I will happily update this review.

Bought to fix line on motorcycle that needed to be bent 180 degrees. worked well.

I needed to run some new tubing while working on an air compressor, and this worked perfectly. It's uniformly round without any abnormalities, and easy enough to bend. I used a cheap, little tubing bender and all my bends came out just fine without kinking. I used some silver solder to secure the fittings, and they bonded with no issues. Overall, I'm quite pleased.
