Great support by seller
I bought go pro 8. The new product arrived very quickly, but something was wrong with the software itself, so I requested that the product be returned and that a new one be sent to me. that's how it was. The new product arrived very quickly after communication with the seller, who handled the entire product return process extremely professionally. the new go pro 8 camera i bought works flawlessly.

First time buyer! And I love it
Had a few holidays booked and wanted to take some footage no matter the terrain or weather and wanted something other than my phone as good as it is!I am so happy with my go-pro and all the the kit it came with! This is now in my bag most weekends for trips away, it's our go to for capturing all of our travel memories!Honestly if you have ever considered buying one...believe me you will not be disappointedJust remember to grab a couple of decent sized (class 10) SD cards...all that glorious footage needs to go somewhere to live until edit!

Surprisingly bad product.
I was recommended I upgrade from my old Sony Cybershot to try a GoPro. I'm amazed at how much worse the GoPro performs and handles than the much cheaper Sony. Handling an operating via touch screen meant, I was accidentally changing functions (such as switching to fast motion or muting the sound) while trying to record. The sound quality is pretty poor and still photos worse. It doesn't have the basic funtions of flash or zoom that the Cybershot has, though I understand these can be bought additionally to make it more expensive, bulky and impractical. If you suffer from arthitis or painful joints, you'll find the off on button and mode button quite painful to use, they really should mention that in their list of features. Oh and battery life is really short, so buy spare batteries and if you see something on the spot you want to film, you may have to wait a few hours for it to charge thus taking any spontaneity out of photography. All round, a complicated and obsolete bit of kit.

Unexpected hurdles, but working for me now
Pros:High quality buildExcellent video qualityImage stabilisation excellentWith a VERY strong Wi-Fi connection and high speed internet, auto upload of files works.Cons:To get battery life of approx 1 hour 20, ensure Wi-Fi, GPS are off and brightness set to 20% (which is sufficient)I gave up trying to get the Bluetooth transfer of files to the app to work. Auto upload of files was the only option other than placing the card into a card reader and saving to my laptop (then, editing with dedicated video software as there is no Windows version of GoPro software).Using as a cycling camera, my rides are often 2 hours plus. I have bought a spare battery and also an after market replacement door to allow connection to an external power pack. And related topics:If buying the GoPro Handlebar mount, measure carefully. Even with the minimum packing, that did NOT fit my road bike handlebars. I ended up buying a ‘large pipe’ mount. Not ideal, but it works. See other reviews for the extra items. So, the quality of the video swings it for me, but there has been far more ‘discovery’ than I would have liked; I was not prepared to spend time on the phone to tech support to try and resolve the iPhone connectivity issues (but tried all the solutions that were posted on the discussion boards - even when the GoPro Qwik app claimed to have downloaded files, they were not playable. The auto upload to the cloud requires very good network and connection speeds, and of course it requires a subscription, but it did work .Overall I like it, but it’s a good job I’m persistent and was happy to buy some add - ons.

Good Camera
It's important to know how cameras work. A lot has already been written in reviews, but from an experienced photographer and Action Camera user, this GoPro 8 Black does the job for the price. These things are great for action filming, sports or even stationary. Within their limits they're tough; waterproof to ten metres with their casing. You might need spare batteries. The App is okay.I never watch Youtube reviews but after a lot of research I jumped in on a special discount offer. The first thing I noticed was theGoPro 8 getting hot, but that's to be expected up to a point. Image quality, lens, and stabilisation are the things I want first, followed by the settings menu and ease of use. The Go Pro Hero 8 Black is better than I expected.Use this camera for a couple of weeks and get used to it; then there is still a lot to learn about GoPros but it's all worth it. There are advanced functions, Timelapse and Timewarp to have fun with. It even works by voice commands plus it has remote control functions. Ideal for me.First set up the camera properly for the job and get the exposure triangle right. The rest is all up to the camera. Not a fan of colour grading or editing too much: pictures are pretty good with the GoPro colours; the sound from the microphone is acceptable. To sum up this camera it just does the job I need as a filmmaker and it's tough and waterproof.I would buy this camera again.

Great picture quality, rubbish software.
When you can get it to actually record properly, the quality is excellent. The software and usability...not so much. Tried using it again yesterday, and it stopped recording with 30%+ battery left and 90% SD card spare. All recordings were split into 11 minutes videos (I wanted one continuous), and viewing the video on the device seems to be different every time. You have to set the date and time every second time you use it, and of that, it'll only connect to the app every third time.Very frustrating to use, and not reliable enough to trust it. Multiple times I've set it off recording for it to randomly stop.
