This book is my North Star — an absolute must have!
So many presentationists I know refer to Building PowerPoint Templates v2 as the "Presentation Bible" — it has certainly earned the monicker. This book was (and continues to be) my most treasured learning resource when I pivoted my career to presentation design — I would say it is THE most important, thorough, well-organized, and accurate book on the subject. Both co-authors are Microsoft MVPs, and beloved instructors at the PowerPoint conferences I attend. They're amazing, and their book gave me the necessary know-how, not only to provide far better decks and templates, but also help guide my clients and colleagues on best practices. You will learn how to become an excellent presentation builder as well as designer. You'll get expert advice on moving beyond default slide layouts to provide your presenters with custom templates that better suit their content, and are therefore easier to work in; a clear understanding of hows and whys of placeholders and their function; info on prepping your decks for different formats and room sizes; making wise choices regarding fonts and color; creating themes to ensure your good designs are implemented, and so much more.Great presentation design is crap, if you don't truly know how to properly build templates and slides. Building PowerPoint Templates v2 will teach you to be your best at this.

If you build PowerPoint templates, you want this resource.
The most extensive book I’ve come across to guide you through PowerPoint template making the correct way. Echo Swinford is the PowerPoint authority. Great to have this book as a reference. You should also check out creative pro’s annual presentation design conference in March.

Life changing. I'd give it ten stars if I could.
I operate a consulting firm, and we frequently deliver presentations. However, we have always struggled with understanding the complexities of PowerPoint. This book has addressed the more challenging and frustrating issues we've encountered. I began marking all the pages containing important information - and soon realized that I was marking nearly every page. It succinctly provides one helpful tip after another. I can't imagine how we managed without this book, and I intend to purchase copies for all my staff who work with PowerPoint. This book is definitely not for the beginner, but if you are a power user, it will solve all your long-standing questions and issues.

***THE*** PowerPoint Book Must-Have
I've worked in PowerPoint for 20 years, and have really dug into building and fixing PPT templates over the past eight years. I thought I knew a lot about what I was doing. However, Echo and Julie's book showed me that even someone who is seasoned can still find lots of little nuggets of tips, tricks, how-to's, when's, and why's about getting under the hood of a presentation template. ****I cannot recommend this book enough.**** I love it so much that not only have I bought one for myself, but have also bought it for two other presentation enthusiasts, as well. Essential for anyone that wants to build the perfect PPT template
The authors did a terrific job highlighting anything and everything that goes into making a PowerPoint presentation. I've been in the industry for going on nearly 16 years, and there is stuff in this book I never even thought about when building a new deck. If you think you are a PowerPoint expert, after reading this you'll consider yourself a PowerPoint master.
