Great plate warmers!
I like to eat my hot meals hot. Too often when food is placed from the stove onto serving dishes and then the meal plates, cold plates from the cabinet often make the food cold before we’re even half way done. I wanted plate warmers, but I didn’t want electric cords going across the floor, between chairs and onto the table.I looked up place warmers and found this set of three microwaveable rubber warmers by Wave-Ware. I liked them immediately! We first use the warmers to pre-warm the dishes. I use a heat resistant glove for taking the warmers out of the microwave onto a heat resistant placemat. In less than a minute the plates are hot to serve the food.My one concern was that there was an odor like hot rubber in the kitchen when I took a warmer out of the microwave. When it persisted for a week, I looked at the package. I was pleased to see not only the web site right on the front, but also the email address of the manager. I contacted him and the service was excellent! He wrote back immediately explaining the process of manufacturing which should prevent such problems. My warmer was an aberration and as I used it a few more times, the odor disappeared. Meanwhile I was sent a replacement. I am a very happy customer and heartily recommend these wonderful plate warmers. The company name of the web site on the box, Wave-Ware, is misspelled. It will be corrected on future printings. The email address is correct. This is a 5 star product!Presently Amazon indicates that the product is out of stock. The manager assured me that a new supply would be shipped in several weeks. I look forward to buy more sets as gifts.

These are cool in a hot kind of way
I wanted something to quickly and neatly warm cold plates for serving. These fit the bill just right. For example, to warm up a couple dinner plates, I will put one warmer between two plates and microwave for 30 seconds or so. This gets the warmer heated up, and I will let it sit for a couple minutes between the plates. My only caution is to make sure you don't overheat them, as they probably would get hot enough to damage a plate or other surface. I generally put the heated plate warmer on a pot holder after I'm done using it, so it can cool down. I washed them well before using, and haven't really noticed the rubber smell that some people mentioned. I'm glad I found these.UPDATE: I want to address the "hot rubber" smell issue that some others have mentioned. I've found that if I heat these to "hot" status vs "pretty warm" status, I can get a smell out of them. I'm OK with "pretty warm" as that level of heat still lets me warm plates if they sit for a couple minutes. I still think these are a great invention.

Don't buy - burnt boiled plastic.
Do not buy. The smell like burnt rubber will fill your kitchen, and they boil up like bubbly plastic in the microwave, and now I am supposed to put this on my clean plate? With food on it? No thank you...this was an entire waste of money.

Does not work very well as advertised
Gets very hot initially, but does not retain heat well at all. I got it to keep my plate warm for a little longer than usual when eating dinner on my TV tray. I heated it up, put it onto a plate, put my plate of hot food on top of it, and it simply didn't help much at all.Unfortunately I forgot to take care of this more quickly, so I ran out of time to return it, otherwise I would have asked for a refund.

They work and are easy to use.
We live in a place where it is cold in winter. Our food would be cold before we finished eating, too. Now, with a quick minute in the microwave, slip under our Corning ware plates and we have warm food until we are done. I used to put the plate in the micro halfway through dinner to get it warm again. These are a bargain.

I have only put the plate warmers in the microwave ...
I have only put the plate warmers in the microwave to heat up. I was wondering if you should put them on the plate & then microwave them. Wondered if I did that, would they affect the food you put on the plate. So I just put the plate warmers in the microwave & then put them under our plates. They do keep the plate warm but not for the entire meal. Also have to be careful of your table top so I use towels to put them on & the plate over.

Happy that Amazon has a good return policy
They didn't work. Following the instructions, I heated them to where they were quite hot. But the heat dissipated in 5 minutes. After 10 min. they were barely warm. Tried several times, always with the same result. Strange, they seem to work for some people commenting here, but not for others. Are they made in different factories in China? Hard to figure. I sent them back. Happy that Amazon has a good return policy.

Easy and fast; work well
I have used these for heating dinner plates - quick and easy. Have been careful with older plates to not overheat. No more heating with wet paper towels. I was disappointed to not find them on Amazon when shopping for another set (for a gift).

They worked for me
The circles do warm the centre of the plate only but I found that perfectly adequate and meant it was easy to carry the plates to the table. My microwave is hotter than the instructions so I turned it down from 10 to 7 not wanting to damage my plates ( bone china). I leave them to stand for 5 minutes as one review recommended and that defused the heat a little also the plate warmers are easy to remove via the loops.

Ease of Use.
Easy to use, though the timings given are a bit out depending on power of microwave, but nice to have warm plates without putting in the oven

effective warmers
These are good and effective. They heat the centre of the plate, but the rim remains cold so you can pick the plates up. The diameter of these is quite small so slightly wish I'd bothered to measure and bought bigger ones, but they are fine and fit for purpose
