Strong hook and cord.
The rope lead was long enough to reach where I needed to go. Once in proper place it held strong and did not slip. The only problem is if you miss what you wanted to grab you may have difficulty retrieving.

Rugged and Functional, But Packaging Needs Improvement
This product works and functions well. The weight is manageable, and it’s easy to use. The grip is as expected, and it looks rugged and badass.However, it wasn’t packaged well and had light scratches on the hook and blades. This one may have been a returned item or a store showcase.I decided to keep it because I don’t like the hassle of stopping my day, traveling, and waiting for an exchange or refund. The process of waiting for a package, then waiting for Amazon to receive the return, and then waiting again for a replacement or refund is too time-consuming.

Exactly what we needed!
Slightly smaller than I had anticipated, BUT it measures exactly as stated. This is very well made, it's heavy. This grappling hook is no joke, this is a serious piece of equipment. This will absolutely get the job done, I am very pleased with this
