I've seen firsthand how well it holds up against salt spray, pounding waves, and fluctuating temperatures, providing long-lasting protection and peace of mind. Application is straightforward, thanks to the easy-to-use syringe packaging and smooth consistency of the sealant. Whether I'm applying it to vertical surfaces or overhead, it spreads evenly and adheres well, ensuring a secure seal without drips or mess. Very effective sealant for boats, a must-have for marine applications
I've used this 3M Fast Cure 5200 for all sorts of purposes over the years, primarily on my boat. Whenever I drill a hole or put a screw into the boat's hull or transom, this stuff is going on the screw threads or in the hole to seal it from water permanently. I've patched holes up to 1/2 inch in diameter using just 3M 5200 and I've never had a drop of water get in through that hole afterward. It's pretty amazing stuff. I've also used this stuff to adhere loose trim to fiberglass inside my boat, it works well and bonds stronger than most glues on the market. The only downside to 3M Fast Cure 5200 is that it's messy and not very reusable. Even the small tubes are expensive. When you cap after using, make sure you find a way to use the rest of this sealant in the not-too-distant future as the cap will become difficult to remove, and the sealant will harden up near the cap. 3M 5200 sticks to just about every type of material on the planet and is impenetrable to water. For boats, 3M 5200 is a must-have, use it to quickly patch up holes and cracks, it'll keep your boat afloat without any leaks whatsoever.

this stuff is basically permanent and thats the point
I used this to seal around a through hull fitting on my boat and it has held up through a full season of use with zero leaks which is exactly what I needed. Fair warning it is extremely messy to work with and you need to have everything positioned correctly before it starts curing because once it sets that is it. Get it on your skin and you are wearing it for a few days no matter what you do so gloves are non negotiable. For serious marine sealing jobs this is genuinely the gold standard and I would not use anything else below the waterline.

Permanent rubber like bond, Good for bonding electrical components
One of the questions was, "Easy to remove?" Oh hell no. It is a permanent bond and its rubber like consistency makes it hard to cut, has to be cut under tension. I took one star away from easy to use because of the permanent bond feature. Wear old clothes and disposable gloves. If you smear a little bit of this stuff on clothes, its never coming out. So five stars for adhesion, toughness, and a permanent bond. Just don't get it on stuff you don't want it on. The instructions say to avoid alcohol as that will inhibit the cure. Alcohol does work to get it off your skin when used immediately. It cures when exposed to moisture. Once the seal is broken the tube has a limited useful life, unless you keep in in a sealed container with desiccant. An old glass pickle jar works well. I keep all my water sensitive adhesives dry in a sealed container with desiccant.

This is great stuff, but a little messy
This stuff makes a seal that will last for years on most materials, but it does not stick well to some plastics. It does stick to others, and metals, and fiberglass & wood. It sets up as hard as a car tire. It's a bit of a mess to work with and it can be hard to clean up. Once the tube is open, & air gets to it, the remaining material will set up inside the tube & it will not be usable anymore. even if you stick a plug in the hole at the end of the tube. That's why I buy it in small tubes. The white version will turn a little yellow if it is left in direct sunlight for a long time.

Perfect sealant for a dinghy
Have a walker bay dinghy and removed the parts to attach to a boat leaving many small boat holes on the upper sides. This worked perfectly to seal the holes and is now waterproof. Seems like it will last a long while.
