Good sturdy and strong finished metal plates. Just what I needed to mount lighting on my tractor. Very reasonably priced.

I'd like it if it was six (rather than eight) but it still works. Heavy plates will not lose their strength. I was sold the moment they came out of the package.

These plates are sturdy, practical, and with their sleek black finish, even look attractive too. I bought them to use as support for a 12-in-wide slab of oak that I'm using as a narrow countertop. A 42"-tall wall will act as the base, but it's not nearly as wide as the oak. I worried that if someone leaned hard on the overhanging edge, it would dislodge the countertop. Enter these four mending plates, which I'm spacing in equal distances along the top of that wall. Half of the holes will have screws going DOWN into the top of the wall. The other half will have screws going UP to hold the oak in place. By the way, the holes in these plates are too large for most screw heads unless you use washers, so I also ordered black SNUG Fasteners. These are screws with oversized and slightly flattened heads—they work perfectly with this mending plate.
