Edu Science Deluxe Scientist Kit - Physics

I have bought a few of these at low prices for the parts. The instructions ruin the kit. It took me hours to figure some things out The ideas and materials are excellent and it would be a great introduction to science except for the instructions. If the makers would redo these I believe they would have a winner. All that is needed in many experiments is just more diagrams and easier to follow instructions. It is too a kit with such potential is stuck in 1 or 2 star land simply because the instructions are inadequate and not illustrated well enough. As I said, the parts and ideas are great and that is why I buy it. It is like getting 6 or 8 $15 kits in one for the price.

This is a very disappointing scientist kit. I got it for my 8 year old who loves science and was so excited to do experiments, but so many of these are crappy and don't contain sufficient explanations. For example, Experiment 19 instructs, "Partially fill a test tube with water. . . . Boil the water in the test tube until only a few drops remain." Say what?! I have no idea how to boil water in a test tube! (Do you?)
