This worked great for my trail camera. Was able to plug it in to my laptop cause I have no internet where I hunt. I was unable to run the app so I plugged in to my laptop, but I had those options. Saw the deer and the times to be in the stand and wanted three nice buck the next morning. This worked just the way I needed it to.

I'm torn between leaving it 3 and 4 stars.It copies the photos off the iphone, which is what I really wanted it for, but it does not copy their dates. That's right, I now have 4,000 some photos that are all dated with the date and time of the copy, rather than reading the date of the photo itself. Not cool... App is a little glitchy, but at the end of the day, it works, and though it might take a couple tries or you might have to do smaller batches, you can indeed get things onto the card, so I'll say it works pretty good.You're almost definitely going to have to take your phone out of its case to use it. The lightning plug is flush with the device though they should have designed it to protrude just a little bit (come on- who doesn't put their ultra expensive phone in a case?). I'm considering grinding down the spots on my case, but it's new and has a lifetime warranty I don't want to screw up. So... I guess I can take it out whenever I want to use this thing- which will be a lot less frequently than I'd anticipated since it's a hassle.

This is a terrible product. I purchased it to copy photos from a camera's memory card to an iPad. It won't work without the app, which is hopelessly unreliable, It stores files in folders invisible to other apps and can't transfer them efficiently to other places, such as Camera Roll or Dropbox. When I tried to look at some of the photos to confirm they transferred, the screen went black, and the app crashed. The manual is useless. I wasted hours trying to make it work before I gave up. Apple made a serious mistake approving this product for the App Store. To be sure it wouldn't hurt anyone else, I smashed it with a hammer. (See photo)

This is the perfect device for traveling photographers. If you do not want to lug around a laptop, you can use your iphone or ipad to view, edit and share photos from your camera. The app could use some work, but it does allow you to transfer photos and videos to your iphone and will let you play and view them from the sd card! The build quality is excellent and I haven't had any problems using this on long trips with jpg, mp4 and mov. If you have an iOS device and use sd cards, this is the answer!

Works well with iphone and computer, but doesn't work with Ipad

Works well but it doesn't do exactly what I wanted it to do.I often use my drone with my iPad/iPhone and wanted a way to transfer over the contents very quickly and easily.This works...sorta. It works in that it does actually transfer over videos, pictures, and the like to your iOS device, but only to the special app. There doesn't seem to be a way to transfer the videos/pictures to the iOS Gallery app. I wanted to do it that way so I could edit the videos in iMovie on the iOS device.Also, I ran into some issues getting it to work with my laptop running Windows 10. Didn't seem like it was compatible. That's okay because I didn't buy it for that.

Perfect with my iPhone 7 and iPad. I purchased this to use with a new trail cam, but I'm using it just as often with the SD card from my Canon camera. I can view, erase, save, and email photos and videos directly to my iPhone or iPad with this device. Tremendously pleased. So much faster than using my laptop. I have a Spigen case on my phone and the reader isn't able to plug into the phone's port when the case is on, but I find that to be minor.

Honestly this whole thing really is a moot point.I have an android. It has very little internal memory. I was hoping I could use this while recording youtube videos, or even just as an easy way to transfer files from my phone to my computer. But in the amount of time it took me to figure out how to get this thing to do what I wanted to, (put in the sd card, moved my files onto it, put the sd card into my computer etc) I could have just plugged my phone in and dragged the files over. And then there's auto-backup. Do you not have auto-backup on your phone? my files are automatically uploaded to Drive right from my phone.Lastly, when I first opened it, I couldn't figure out how to get the Micro USB to stick out to save my life. I had to scrounge through the photos on this review page just to figure it out because it wasn't on the instructions. Then I lost the software and couldn't find a link or a name anywhere. That's annoying.It just boils down to the fact that it's just not worth the time or effort. It's a great idea but really, but there are so many easier and better ways to transfer files.
