Great overview and covers most important information but not Table of Contents
Just purchased so need to fully read but looks like a good book that covers most subjects from calories, workouts, supplements (with a nice summary table) and allows anyone to have accurate, non-fluff fitness information to start their fitness journey or just a nice-catchup for people who have experience. We should all continue to learn.Just wished the Kindle version (not sure about printed) had a table of contents at the start!!

Simple system, but needs more meal plans
This is a well thought out book, with good use of science and research to back things up. Easy read and Michael explains things really well. Great explanation on the importance of nutrition and how to build your individualised diet. However, whilst in theory this is simple to do, most people won’t be bothered to do the calculations and build the plans. Whilst it does say that there are meal plans, these are actually quite sparse even on the website. To my mind there needs to be at least a weeks worth to get people started. Otherwise well worthy of purchase if you dedicate the time to doing the work.

Save your time and money
After reading thinner leaner stronger I was looking forward to this. However, it did not live up to expectations.Chapters 1-7 are just words with little to no meaningful content. Chapter 8 is a repeat of what he’s said in his previous books.After that? I can’t comment as I lost the will to carry on.I only gave one star rating as I couldn’t leave a 0 star score.

Interesting!
On the face of it, quite a potentially interesting book but it doesn't really say anything. It has some general information you could read about on any number of websites. Wouldn't buy it again.

Audible, beware says PDF provided but not
I like mike's books so i thought I'd give the audible a ago? However, after listening for an hour or so it keeps referring to a PDF but this is not supplied so makes it difficult to research the stuff from the audible. it is supposed to be...

Helpful to an old guy
Muscle disappearing, but that bar and that bale still need toting and lifting. Don't want to appear an infirmed mark for evil doers. What will best promote my life? For me, strength training.Been through several books seeking information but didn't feel a connection to any until I found Bigger Leaner Stronger. Close but no cigar, it seemed for those a lot younger that me (M81). Then I found Muscle For Life. It has the relaxed presentation, sincerity, flexibility and thoroughness that makes me feel comfortable. I now have a plan, dumbbells, weight bench and a year's commitment.

One of the most evidence-based fitness books out there!
Mike is one of the only fitness professionals in the industry who uses REAL research to support his claims. I never read fitness/nutrition books because most are simply opinion pieces, but Mike and Muscle For Life brand are the real deal. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the science with no fluff in an entertaining and easy to understand way!
