Have not been able to get it to work and Seed Max has had no contact with us from Technical Support. Very disappointed.

Product itself seems good. Problem I had is how to wire it and make it work with an external control. No phone number to contact. Only via emails. Well, they never ever replied to my simple question. I figured it out myself after so much straggle. Oh, did I forget the manual is useless. I'm positive it's just google translate from Chinese. Other than that I had this unit for over a month now and pretty happy with it. It keeps the humidity in my house in the 40-45% range with no issues. Just the customer service sucks big time!

It dehumidifies the air, but has a mind of its own! Won’t turn off when it should. Turns off randomly. I bought an external controller for it. Seems to recognize it at first, then stays on to dehumidify well below the setting. Humidity readings on the actual unit keeps fluctuating 51% one minute, and 68% the next. It just turned off for 15 seconds and is back on again. What is going on?Update: thank you to those that tried to answer my question. It shows how to hook up an external controller, but what it doesn’t tell you is how to change the control from the unit to the external one. Don’t ask me how I figured this out, but what you need to do is hold the plus button down until it reaches 90% and blinks 3 times. Once it does that, the unit is now being controlled by the external controller. It’s been working as it should for the past few days now. Finally!I changed my star rating up to 3 stars. The product has been working good for a week now. Keeps the humidity down and there is no condensation on the windows. The air feels healthier and mildew like smells are gone. That I am thankful for. I only gave it 3 because of the lack of instructions on how to operate it. If they improved that, and included all the parts it said it had (hose), then it would be a 5 star contender. Let’s hope it continues to work??

Good price, good capacity, good fit. However, the 2 units I got never cycled. They continuously de-humidified without stopping. I ran them 48 hours each before returning them. I really liked them except for the cycling problem. A different unit I purchased is cycling ok.

As others have written. The unit won’t restart to memory settings after power interruption. Even though it’s listed on the description.This prevents the user from using any type of smart outlet etc to controller the dehumidifier. Also there is no manual included. Would be better with some literature and communication from manufacture but neither exist.I would skip and this model and buy another brand with more manufacture support. It feels well built and does a good job when running, but I currently have no way to control it/reset it without out going into the crawlspace.

Update: The restart after power outage feature doesn’t work.I own a crawl space repair company and some customers need a lower cost solution. This was an option. It shipped quick, good price, but missing the drain line that was advertised as included. Wasted half a day going to Lowes to find a drain line. Little bit louder than April Aire D70. You will need the hose and screw in outlet. Neither are included as stated in the listing. Amazon should require accuracy. Also need a printed warranty and registration card.

I am using this in my garage ( 2 car ) to keep humidity down.I live in Florida and we are always battling humidity.My garage is insulated and sealed up good but I was still getting light rust on some things and that was unacceptable.This dehumidifier has solved the issue and is working great.I would buy again.5 STARS
