The rubber nose on mine which you press onto the wood is quite loose is this normal ?

Not 100% sure it’s normal but the one on mine seems pretty loose as well which makes me concerned about long term robustness. Having said that i have used mine on a couple of projects over the last few months and it’s all good so far.
