Samick Sage Takedown Recurve Bow 62" Hunting Bow Right and Left Hand Draw Weights in 25-60 lbs Beginner to Intermediate for Adult & Youth (25lb, Right Hand)

This bow is the best bow i have ever used very smooth and nice to handle. I have two. 40 and 25 pound. mostly for target practice. very nice.

My second bow, I love it.

I went to my local sports store and spent a considerable amount of time discussing my upcoming purchase. They measured my reach and showed me models they had available in the store. Unfortunately, they did not carry any 62" bows. They recommended a few to order online, this being one. I reviewed and determined this would be a good investment for a beginner, even though it ran $20-30 more than some other models. Pros: Beautiful riser Even limbs Smooth shelf 14 cord string Cons: No arrow nock (basic part of any bow) Cheap thin arrow rest that snapped after second arrow released Overall a good bow, but its drawbacks are nuisances you shouldn't experience with their upcharge when compared to other models. I'd really give this bow a 3.5 stars but there is not an option for that score. As a beginner I am not certain how to judge their accuracy. Logically though, no beginner should step out and hit bullseyes all day long. The craftsmanship is there but I docked the rating for a cheap arrow rest and lack of nocking point.

This is a great bow. I started with 25# limbs and within a couple months, I was able to work up to 40# limbs. I bought two, for me and the wife but she is shorter than me (she’s 5’ 4”) and found the bow to be a bit big. I kept the 2nd one for working on anchor and form. The only thing that I have to be critical of is the 25# limbs were a very tight when attaching and the quiver/sight inserts came out when I switched to the 40# limbs. I assume the extra vibration with my sight attached was enough to slake them loose. For the limbs, you just have to be patient and get the bolt lined up and take your time (this was not an issue with the 40# upgraded limbs). The inserts were fixed with a bit of wood glue. These issues were not enough to dink the bow which is really well made. Since this is my first bow, my accuracy was all over the map. I bought a hunting sight and I also got a finger tab to allow me longer sessions. After firing thousands of arrows, my problem is damaged arrows bc the groups are so tight. :) There is a lot of hype around this bow but it’s the real deal. Low cost of entry with great quality makes it a winner!

Alright so this bow was suggested to me by a few friends because it's at a budget pricing, but is amazing quality. Samick makes great bows and the sage is at that entry level price where you won't feel guilty with not shooting as often as you think you should. I received the bow nicely packed and safely to my home and ever since I got it I've been trying to take it out when I can. The 25lbs is a great start for most adult males and it has a nice pull for you to get used to before going up in weight. Now accuracy can't be rated because there are a few factors to how accuracy is measured in archery, but with the arrows cut and arrow rest properly assembled my grouping has been so much better. (I'm still learning how to fully aim with it, so I can't say much else) Overall this is a great beginner bow and if you're looking to start archery as a hobby or sport I would recommend this bow.
