SonyMDR-XB200/V (MDRXB200-Violet) XB Extra Bass Series On-Ear Headphones

Purchased the MDR-XB200 in the violet color because the other colors were $10-$15 more expensive. After purchasing them, I would have spent more on the other colors if I had to because the sound quality is great no matter which color you get. Nice low bass & the middle & highs sound right to me. Construction seems fine as long as they are not abused, & I like the way the earpieces fold flat for storage. I use them to listen to all styles of music from rock to country to classical to hardstyle, while working on the computer & for my Ipod. I like it a little loud & my wife is always telling me to turn it down. I can't compare them to really expensive headphones like Beats as I would never spend that much on headphones. They were purchased to replace my 6 year old MDR-XB300's. The ear pads were starting to flake pretty badly on them & the MDR-XB200's have the same great sound to me. I have since found out that I can buy replacement ear pads for the MDR-XB300's on Ebay. That's OK, now I will have 2 great sets of Sony headphones.

Great headphones! Good sound fit well. I've had them about 8months and my 5year old granddaughter has put them thru the mill and back and they are still in perfect condition. Nice purple color too! I recommend.

Not loud just basic headphones dolled up to look fancy. Good for a kid not for adult.

White is hard to keep clean but the sound is good.

I bought this set for my grandson. He goes through ear buds like water through a stream. I suggested headphones instead. Although he wasn't convinced that he would like them when they were ordered, he is now a true believer. Sound is great and he's been using them for over two months.
