I sceptically purchased this spray in a horrid battle against drain flies that had infested my outside drain area during this year's summer heatwave. After trying the baking soda and vinegar solution, and multiple cleans using boiling water, I went for this promised power and deterrence against flies. While this spray alone may not work, this solution coupled with additional cleaning steps has finally cleared the drain flies!The spray has a clear solution and is surprisingly versatile. As the instructions states, it can be used indoors and outdoors, without damage or lingering smells, "suitable for use in households where there are children and/or pets, as long as they are kept out of the area being treated until all surfaces are dry". I highly advise wearing a mask when using it as the particles do disperse in the surrounding area, especially when sprayed outside. The spray itself comes out in a clear solution and as promised it soon dried without any staining or marks on the walls.The battle I faced was not against no ordinary fly, it was the far more resilient drain fly. For those unaware, drain flies can linger deep into pipes and holes and make a lot of babies. I tried everything to get rid of them- cleaning up the drain surface, pouring thick drain unblockers, and making various homemade solutions. But these flies just kept on damn returning and sometimes in gross numbers. Rather than lending my money to drain cleaners, I opted to try this professional-grade solution, Pest Expert Formula C+ promising maximum strength against flies- perhaps not specifically drain flies. To see what would happen, I used this spray alone and sprayed directly onto some of the drain flies. They satisfyingly disintegrated while other drain flies flew to a different part of the wall where this solution was not sprayed.Knowing the infestation the drain flies had caused, it was obvious I had to combine this spray with extra cleaning steps. Before spraying, I targeted potential larvae by once again pouring vinegar and baking soda with plenty of boiling water. Only then did I give this spray a real test. The spray was surprisingly easy to use given its professional look and strength. I sprayed plenty around the entire drain, around the pipes, and on the surrounding wall. Many drain flies disintegrated on the surface and in the air while others headed back into the drain to only then also die. Overnight, the drain flies were surely less! There were just a few on the wall and I continued the application. After this second application, they have since barely existed! It's probably impossible to get rid of all of them but one thing is for certain, the infestation is no longer present. Fortunately, for the premium price, this is a 1-litre spray size meaning there is plenty more to use if I suspect there is another infestation.In all, this spray may not alone fix the issue of drain flies but certainly coupled with additional steps, and a change in seasons, this solution has worked far better than other 'pest/insect' sprays.
