Awesome bed setup to save space!
This bed is very cool looking and the space underneath it is far more usable than I thought it was going to be :-) My girls are 6 and 7, and we wanted to upgrade them from their twin over twin bunk bed (where they shared three bottom bunk anyway, since they refuse to separate whilst they sleep). I looked around Amazon for a bed that would give them a hang out space underneath it, but everything seemed really short. Not this bed... this thing is taller than me by a lot (I'm 5'2"). I literally can't see if my kids are in when they're sleeping, lol. As far as the assembly goes, my husband put it together in about 5hrs, but it probably would've gone faster with both of us. He conquered this beast while I put together the tv stand, assembled the television, and set up the rest of the room. Pieces are pretty heavy/sturdy, although there is definitely some wobble once assembly is complete. Thankfully, my kids are small enough that only the 7yr old moves the bed as she's climbing, but I'm really not sure how the adults writing these reviews are sleeping well. I'm heavier than a lot of 5'2" women (about 190), but I can still climb the ladder and get in the bed and everything (had to test it like a decent mom before I sent my kids up there). But, if I'm being honest, even with the super comfortable mattress we put up there, I'd sooner sleep on the floor than listen to the terrifying symphony of creaks coming from this bed while I tried to situate myself. For us though, this will work out just fine! Their room isn't done yet, but I'm excited, so I uploaded a couple of photos of their room so far, showing how much space it takes up from different angles. Will update as more furniture comes in to show full scale :-)

Decent, sturdy loft bed - no complaints and sleeping like a baby on my futon mattress
This is perfect for my living situation because I have so much stuff and am in a studio apartment. Putting it together was a bit challenging because I just sort of glanced through the instructions and went for it. It seems like my first attempt, I put everything together backwards, so I had to take it all apart and put it back together the right way. But the hardest part was standing up the two final halves of the frame and connecting it all together. The total package really long and heavy so if you are ordering this before you move to a new place like I did, I would recommend opening the box and moving everything separately. Most of the pieces are grouped together in plastic. The pieces are really loud if you drop them so be mindful if you got downstairs neighbors, and if you can find someone to help you, that's even better. I heard some people say that this is really noisy frame, so I made sure to screw everything together slowly and carefully. For me this is no louder than any normal bed frame I've previously owned. It's actually quieter than the bed frame that I just got rid of. I tightened the screws as tight as I felt I needed to, but not too tight because I might want to take this back apart and bring it with me next time I move. It only wobbles when I'm climbing the ladder. I'm only 5ft-3 so I have a little more than half a foot head clearance when I'm sitting at my desk under this frame. Under the loft bed I have a computer set up with dual screens, and also a ton of DJ equipment. So far I haven't hit my head standing up. When I'm watching movies, I often find myself grabbing the support beams and stretching my arms and back. UPDATE: 9/28/2017 - It's been about 9 months and still A OK

The “worse” thing about this loft bed is the price
Okay, so I took a while to write this review because of all the other reviews I read about it. I’ve had this loft for almost a month, and this is everything I’ve noticed so far. The quality is pretty solid. I got this brand and I was willing to pay this price because I work at a place that sells furniture and the brand is pretty trustworthy to me, as I am familiar with it. The only reason I didn’t buy it from my job was because the employee discount just wasn’t as good as the Amazon price. Even then, the price of this thing is a little hefty, but it’s a solid piece of furniture. I dunno what the other reviews were on about, saying it took them six hours to assemble this, but it’s definitely not a complicated build at all. I build this by myself (5’2”, 28 year old woman) in under three hours. I just read the (very clear) instructions carefully and followed them without much of a problem. I even made one huge mistake, and had to disassemble an entire side, and I still only took less than three hours. Now, if I include how long I also took to anchor the frame to the wall, it took like three hours tops. All you need is to be handy and to know how to follow picture instruction. Yes, there’s written ones as well, but everything’s pretty clear, and they even provide you with the allen keys you’ll need. The steps for the ladders are a hassle, because they’re round, not square, and they really hurt your feet after a long day. But that’s also an easy solve if you buy tube insulation at Home Depot. It’s less than $4 and you get a four pack. It also supports weight just fine. Mind you, the instructions say to only have one person sleep up there, but it supports two people just fine. I’ll be retightening the entire frame once a month, but it’s a really sturdy frame. This thing saves a lot of space in our room, and I was able to add my Ikea desk, a little bedside drawer, and a desk chair underneath it. It also gave us enough room to add a TV stand, and two bookshelves. The “worse” thing about this loft bed frame is the price, but even that can be argued. There’s some loft frames here on Amazon that are $400 (they include a desk), and people say they’re worth the price. This frame, at least for me, makes the most sense, especially if you already have all the other furniture, because it will save you space, and, if you get it on sale, it can also save you some money. I’ll come back in like six months to update on how well it holds weight, but so far, this had been an excellent purchase (: !!

Useful
I bought this two years ago and have only just replaced it. I'm average height; went from 150-190lbs while I had it; never slept with another person on it. I love that it enabled me to have twice the room in my tiny studio apartment last year - it was so, so worth the purchase. Not that difficult to put together, either (and I took it apart twice to move) - but you do need another person at least to assemble and get it up. However, now that I'm in a 2br apartment and have a little more space I decided to switch to something lower. The bed seems structurally still very sound, but over the last several months (or maybe it was slowly over the years) began squeaking a lot as i tossed and turned. Coupled with some lovely anxiety I have à la the Southside horror about things collapsing, it was keeping me awake at night and I couldn't put up with it anymore. (I would have felt comfortable giving it away to someone else - it was just irrational anxiety. But note, it WILL start squeaking after a while!) I'm not even sure *what* was doing the squeaking, since I examined it very carefully both times I took it apart and everything seemed well. As others have noted, the ladder rungs are thin and uncomfortable to step on; I initially used the pool noodle hack but they broke pretty quickly (like, a matter of days/weeks). It then became a situation of me wrapping scrap fabric around the noodles on the rungs, draping half-dirty clothing over them, etc. Total mess, in other words. That needs a solution! Overall, good purchase; it was what I needed at the time and it bore up admirably.

Laying on it right now!
(Pictured: the comfy space under my bed) Bought it for moving into a studio apartment so I could have more space. Then had to take it apart and put it back together when I moved back home, but that's no fault of the bed. :( Still feels just as sturdy though! It does squeak and wobble a little, but that hasn't seemed like a problem. I'm using it as a 123lbs. adult with no issues. My bedroom at home is VERY! small, so most of my space is under my bed. As such, I've got a whole little living rooms/cozy nest under my bed. So I've got my TV, game consoles, movies, stereo, computer, and seating, all under my bed. It's super cozy! Prior to getting this bed, I just didn't have much in my room aside from a dresser. When putting it together, I strongly recommend not tightening the bolts more than necessary. I've seen some complaints of bolts breaking and flying off with regular use, but it sounds to me like they were really cranking then on in the first place. What kinda sucks about loft beds in general, aside from the ladder, is you give up having a nightstand. So if you do get this, I recommend getting hanging baskets or platforms to use as a nightstand, so you don't have to keep your water bottle and VapoRub on the bed. I really like this bed!

Good Space but not Sturdy
I purchased this loft in-order to gain more space in my very small bedroom in my home. So far this loft has indeed provided more room in my small bedroom, it does seem like a better quality metal loft unlike some of the others I've seen out there. It was somewhat easy to assemble, but it did require two people to setup properly due to its large size. My biggest complaint with it is theres no opening at either side of the ladders to get into the bed. Which is a problem for me personally. Getting up the ladder is the easy part, but getting down i feel is the most dangerous trying to get over the barriers. This i didn't like to much, due to its instabilities of it wobbling and what not. So my solution was to just remove one of the barriers on-top to allow me to go up and down without issue. Another big issue with this loft is that it is not very sturdy at all, its not very stable and tends to be wobbly. And the screws tend to loosen up a bit over time, read warning down for more info on that. Overall this loft has provided what i wanted it todo providing more space and a place to have my bed without taking 60% of my room and seems like adequate quality, even with what all is said, I would rate this product a solid 3 outta 5 stars. Would i recommend this? Yes and no honestly. This isnt something i would recommend for younger children at all without securing it to a wall or something. MY WARNING TO ALL: Heres my issued warning to everyone. Please make sure you tighten your screws at least every 2-3 months for your safety. If you don't sleep at your own risk. I will suggest if you buy this product to use Green LOCTITE Thread-locker. This will make the screws be more unlikely to un-tighten. Also please put your loft against a corner for better stability. If possible secure/mount it to the wall. PROS: - Gives your room more space for things - Decent Metal Quality CONS: - 2 PERSON INSTALLATION JOB - Wobbly & Not-Sturdy - No access hole on upper loft from ladders - Should be against a corner of a wall for stability

Looks great! Nice and sturdy.
Bought 3 of these in full size for my boys so they can have more room in their bedroom. Setting up the bed was not difficult, my husband and I got through the first one in about an hour or so and then we breeze through the next one pretty fast. My 14 years old even put his bed together by himself with little help at the end with holding the side rails so he can put screws in. Boys loved their new bed. My youngest was scare at first because his new bed was so high up but he got used to it pretty quick. The steps is skinny so it does hurt when climbing up. We saw in another review they put pool noodle on the step to help with some cushion and that's what we did. Not the best solution but it's cheap and it works! Maybe down the road my husband can build a step but for now this will do. Bed is sturdy enough, just make sure all the screws and bolts is tight enough.

Hate it. Okay if you dont mind constant shaking.
I'm 5 '6 and about 170 lbs and read review by people taller and heavier then me liking this bed. Long summary short this loft is horrible and a cheat. I bought it for 270 dollars and now then less a week later it 320?! I know the quality hasn't changed and that's a RIP off. First when I got the box the inside of tubes were crawling with cockroaches. I'm not insect phobic so I just went outside, used some raid and throw the box out. I wish I took a picture as proof but my landlord was present at the moment and she freak out so I couldn't. I really needed this loft for the space saving so I continued. The instructions suck and while assembling it was generally simple step should have been ordered differently especially since I was working in a small space there was no way it could be done. Finally I got to use it and after two weeks I hate it. It constantly wobbles and I dont feel safe up here. I can gently tuck on the bed and it still wobbles!!! This is shit quality I knew it was not going to be gold but I imagine it at least be safe and sturdy!!!! The stairs are painful on my feet even with the tips people gave to soften them. And of course the bed violently shakes as I have to use my weight to climb the stair up vertically instead just adding a ladder that's separate from the loft. They provided two small brackets that can be attached to the wall as extra support but if u rent a place where the landlord doesn't allow to drill holes ( I could but I would lose my deposit) then it's not an option. Hate it not worth it unless it's for small kids even then I wouldn't risk it for how flimsy it is! Definitely returning it if I could!

Bon achat!
Gain d'espace IMPORTANT...!!!

Does the job
I'm a grown woman living in a studio and having this bunk bed really opened up spaces for me. It does wobble when you get on it but this is to be expected, as far as I remember, any bunk I climbed on wobbled. It still feels really sturdy. The only bad points in my opinion is how thin the ladder bars are (I added pipe insulating tubes on them, as another review suggested) and how we have to climb over the railing on top. It's a bit odd at first but the more you go up there, the easier it gets. I'm really satisfied with my purchase. Update Sept 2022 Been using it for almost a year and I'm still happy with it. I'm over the weight limit if I include the weight of my mattress and I never felt like it would collapse on me. It does wobble a lot but as I mentioned before... any bunk/loft bed would wobble. My Biggest con is how hard it is to change the sheets. It's a workout everytime

solid bed frame , space saver
bed was awesome , easy to build . Really opened up my room . The ladder was a little rough on feet but not unbearable . Also easy to disassemble. I was 180lbs using it and held up perfectly little wobbly but once you lay down its fine

Best Idea
I'm an adult man 5"11, 180 lbs. A little wobbly getting up, but feels safe once I'm up there. Great for saving space. I stuck a couch underneath and space wise this was a great decision. Only complaint is the ladder is a little rough on the feet.

Real good bed for my 11 years old daughter
At first, there was a flaw in the alignment of one hole of the ladder but I was able to correct it with a little bit of strength. Like other said, the bed wooble and it's hard to step on because of the fine ladder and the fact that the end of the ladder have a guardrails which we have to pass over. At this point of the bed, I would not put guardrails ; it's on the sides that is important. I would surely have to buy a ladder to solve these design problems. That are the reasons why I remove 2 stars.
