Great product
GD Iron Grip EXT 90 Hand Grip Strengthener – Product Review The GD Iron Grip EXT 90 Hand Grip Strengthener is a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their forearm and wrist strength. With adjustable resistance ranging from 25 to 90kg, this hand grip trainer is designed to cater to users of different strength levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Here's an in-depth review based on my experience with the product. Design and Build Quality: The GD Iron Grip EXT 90 has a robust build, made from durable materials that can withstand intense, regular use. The handles are constructed from ergonomic, non-slip material, which provides a comfortable and secure grip even during prolonged use. The overall design is compact and easy to hold, making it ideal for daily training sessions. One notable feature is the adjustable resistance, which allows for a wide range of resistance levels, making it versatile for various training needs. The resistance dial is easy to adjust, providing smooth transitions between different weight settings. This makes the trainer accessible for beginners and effective for those looking to build strength over time. Performance: The adjustable resistance (25-90kg) is one of the standout features of the GD Iron Grip EXT 90. The ability to change the resistance makes it a flexible tool that can accommodate both light and heavy training sessions. Whether you're just starting to build forearm strength or are an experienced user looking to challenge yourself, this hand grip strengthener has you covered. I found the resistance adjustment to be smooth and reliable, with the hand gripper providing a solid and consistent level of tension during each squeeze. The wrist and forearm muscles engage well, offering a comprehensive workout for those muscle groups. With regular use, you can expect noticeable improvements in grip strength, which can be beneficial for sports like rock climbing, weightlifting, and martial arts. Comfort and Ease of Use: The ergonomic handles are designed to provide comfort during use. The non-slip surface ensures that your hands won't slide off, even if you’re sweating. The design is fairly straightforward—simply grip the handles, adjust the resistance, and squeeze. The intuitive nature of the product makes it easy to incorporate into your workout routine. One downside is that for some users, particularly those with larger hands, the handles might feel a bit small or tight, which could cause discomfort after extended use. However, this largely depends on individual preferences, and the handles may be just right for others. Effectiveness: For anyone serious about building wrist and forearm strength, the GD Iron Grip EXT 90 is an excellent tool. It effectively targets the grip strength, helping to develop forearm muscles, which is crucial for improving performance in various activities that require a strong grip. Regular training with this hand gripper can lead to noticeable gains in both wrist strength and overall hand power. Additionally, the device can help with rehabilitation for those recovering from injuries or simply looking to prevent strain from repetitive activities. Value for Money: Considering the quality of construction and the wide range of resistance levels, the GD Iron Grip EXT 90 offers great value for money. It's a durable tool that can be used for both beginner and advanced strength training, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about improving their grip strength. Conclusion: The GD Iron Grip EXT 90 Hand Grip Strengthener is a highly effective and versatile tool for building forearm and wrist strength. Its adjustable resistance from 25kg to 90kg makes it suitable for users at various strength levels, and its ergonomic design ensures comfort during use. While the handles may not suit everyone perfectly, the overall performance and build quality make this hand gripper a great choice for anyone looking to improve their hand strength. Whether for general fitness, sports training, or rehabilitation, this hand strengthener provides excellent value for money.

Excellent quality
Ordered this because those cheap and easily available all-plastic adjustable grippers which are stretching the spring without any center reinforcement can send shrapnels flying into your eyes at any time (stretching spring breaks very easily, compressing spring with center bar is far more safe). For a gripper, it is expensive, yes. But the build quality is surprising and well above the price. No rough edges, no defects, perfect machining, printing, no wiggle anywhere. The adjusting mechanism is just lovely, you push the gripper in a few millimeters, flick the latch on top of it open and it releases a centimeter more than usual. You can adjust the spring anywhere you want - and when you push the gripper in again, the latch will close itself (seems like there is a magnet) and done. The extensions come with hex keys and also fit perfectly into the handles. The gripper comes in an uninspiring cardboard box, but the inside has precise foam cutouts for all the parts and looks well thought out.

Great product, great value, fantastic build quality
It's quite rare these days to find quality like this in a sea of overpriced tat. Feels like it was made by my granddads generation when products meant to last a lifetime. Plus No noise Nice design Build quality Overall cheaper than buying several CoC grip trainers Will take a while to get to max setting (if ever) Minus My son thinks the handles are too harsh but I find it fine; no different to using a barbell with knurling.

Beautifully made and solid bit of kit.
I have mislaid my pair of cheap plastic grip trainers somewhere in the Christmas mayhem, but I was overmatching them anyway as they went up to only 60KG and I was up to 35 reps per set so not very efficient. I found these on Amazon and then best googled grip trainer reviews. Sure enough a US site had them as the Best Buy on Amazon. That link took you to Amazon US where they were selling an upgraded model with the e-clips at either end of the spring, which could potentially be problematic, replace by solid clips. And they were throwing in plastic stand! Amazon UK still had the old version with e-clips, but I decided to buy anyway, They turned up today and they are in fact the upgraded version with solid clips and stand so I’m very happy… And with the currency conversion they are cheaper on Amazon UK. They are beautifully packaged and feel extremely high quality. Even the Allan keys for adjustment are solid! I have added the extensions to give me more flexibility with grip range, but they were ok even without the extensions (I’m 6’3”). Any resistance adjustment is a piece of cake, I am starting on the second, 38kg setting so have a long way to go before I overmatch them. If my old grips turn up I’ll keep them in the car or at work; I don’t want to risk losing these and with more efficient workouts I can just keep them with my home gum kit (they feel like a proper piece of gym equipment) and incorporate grip training into my workouts. Can’t recommend them too highly.

professional handgrip trainer
The design caught my eye and following a review by an American YouTuber, I decided to buy not one but two of them. They are sturdy, functional, adjustable, and easy to hold. They weigh more than the average high street brands and the build is clearly of high quality. The price is high but it is justified by the solid build and innovative design. I train daily with these. Drawback: the grip is not comfortable at all. It is not smooth and the myriads of tiny prominences I guess were intended as a way of improving the stability of the grip. However, upon using them, the skin of the palms would get so sore that after few times I developed callosities. Also, the skin would come off and I would get pressure burns in the skin of the fingers. To minimise these very uncomfortable issues, I bought a pair of full finger thin gloves by Decathon which, minimises these issues, though without completing resolving it. In addition, as the strength that I generate in terms of pressure is so high, the gloves themselves don't appear to last very long. This might well be my problem but it's only thanks to my enthusiasm and stubborn persistence that I continue training nonetheless. My suggestion if you buy them, which I would recommend if you're in to training like me, is to try them on few times and if you then have pressure sores issues then consider a pair of full finger gloves.

Quality Product
It was a choice between this and the CoC from Ironmind whilst I would like to have had the full set of CoC, there isn't a practical reason not to choose this instead for the lower resistance increments (I opted for the 90Kg model with the extensions); I have no issues with the knurling as some have mentioned, but then I do a fair amount of barbell work and lift without hand protection so your mileage may vary here until your hands toughen up. The quality is very good and this appears to be quality product, it's well built and simple to operate (as you would expect, I suppose) and feels like it will last a very long time. I did need to oil the spring when I received it and my only suggestion for an improvement would be to include a suitable lubricant in the box to use and for reference in future. I can't really comment directly on the resistance as I've no objective way of validating the numbers, but it seems in line with my expectations and ultimately it is just a number to work through, if I get to repping the 90Kg soon anytime I'll petition for an upgraded model to go to 180Kg ...

Lovely piece of kit.
I've been playing with the Captain's of Crush grippers for years, which are the gold standard of hand grippers. This feels a bit harder on the 90kg setting; the same as the no 2 CoC. That said, it's probably not comparing like for like as the leverage and distance to close the handles are different. Plus my CoC grippers are about twenty years old now, so have probably weakened a bit by now. The big advantage is obviously how much you can adjust them. You can change the strength, as well as the leverage, and you can add a pinch grip attachment too. Whether it will last twenty years like the Captains of Crush have, I don't know, but it certainly appears to be well made, quality piece of kit.

Great product
Having tried a cheaper product earlier this week and finding I could easily manage the hardest resistance setting i thought i would try a premium version. This thing is ace. As other reviews have said you can really tell this is a premium product and is built to last. The easiest setting feels harder than the hardest setting on the cheaper version so for me there is plenty of development room. The grip is a little rough as others have said but I think ill get used to it. Highly recommend, expensive but worth it!
