Perfect for ensuring clean lines and for dipping nails
My hands aren't the steadiest out there I'm not gonna lie. So sometimes, even if I'm focusing really hard I still get polish on my cuticle or places other than my nail. This stuff helps with that. You apply it around the nail before you go to put any product on, if you get it on the nail you can just use your finger to push it back or peel it all off and start overThen you apply your polish, removing the latex tape before it dries to make sure the mani comes out nice and clean. I reapply latex after each layer cause if you're polish dries to this stuff it could ruin the way the surface dries

Helps keep color off skin, but clumps
I am the worst at painting my nails. I don’t like spending money to get my nails done unless it’s a special occasion, so I try to paint my own. But I get paint all the way around the nail and on my finger tips. Long story short, I got this because I liked the idea of putting it on my skin and not having to worry if I got out of line. This stuff is pretty sticky, so it stays on the edges of the nail, which is great, but it also means if you accidentally put your fingers together, they will get stuck and can mess up the base. It also clumps up in the bottle and you get chunks on the brush, so you have to use a baby wipe or something to wipe down the brush so you aren’t trying to spread little balls of latex every time you use it, often after just a couple fingers. Overall, after using a couple of times and figuring out these little annoyances, I’ve gotten better at making it work. It is easy to take off and blocks the polish from getting on my skin, but if you don’t let the nail polish completely dry, you can pull off some of the actual polish on the edges, which may smudge a bit. My nails look better after I paint them and use this than when I don’t use it, but it does take practice.

Do NOT use with dip powder
I’m a dip powder girl. If you’re a dip powder girl this rating/warning is for you. It doesn’t work with dip powder. The first time I found this doesn’t help is when I stupidly used the activator and THEN tried to remove the excess by peeling the latex. Nope lol wayyyy too much product for the latex to hold up and help you get it off. Second time I smartened you and tried peeling the latex and excess powder BEFORE the activator step- still no. Sadly as a dip powder only girl, I will not be able to use this product for my convenience and I will in fact have to learn to steady my hand when applying the base. Polish/gel girls, you may be good to go. Just not for dip powder. They should really remove that claim saying it works with dip as by my own trial I have found it to be false advertisement. I’m presuming acrylic may not work with it either. Another claim they probably shouldn’t be making but that’s just a presumption. Disappointed and past my return window 😞
