I bought this stool to use while camping and to get into the bed of my large truck. If you happen to step wrong - where the seams are, it wants to fold and I think actually it would easily break. I'm a heavier person so when it happened to me it gave me a heart jump thinking it was going to break. Thankfully it didn't, but it did give quite a lot.The other issue I have with this stool is that it does not like to stay extended. It seems to creep in and try to close. If I hadn't got it dirty camping, I would have returned it for a refund. The shorter stools are much sturdier.
