Vega Bond SF001 12-Packs, Premium Single Component, Self Expanding, Purplecoat Closed Cell Insulation Spray Foam, Acoustic Spray (240 Board Feet Coverage) No Gun & Cleaner Included

I started off a bit weary of what was going to happen when I started spray foaming from a can, but the process could have not been easier. I went ahead and started, the spray was even and the foam expanded as advertised. Love the Purple color!. The gun was great because you can angle it. I cleaned my gun after every can and the experience was consistent can after can. 12 Cans in i did about 1/2 of my 20 foot shipping container. Everything was EASY from the time I opened the box till I finished the last can, no surprises, no issues at all. Each can comes with both a wide and more direct tip. I would recommend this for EVERYONE wanting to do spray foam!

I purchased the 12-can kit with the gun and PPE, even though I already own a pro-style spray foam gun. I was pleased with the contents of the kit which came with decent goggles, gloves, cleaner and the accessory hose for tight spaces. The articulated spray gun really came in handy when spraying rim joist spaces, providing sufficient room to keep the can upright even in tight spaces under the sub-floor.The foam itself worked well after very little practice. Getting the proper spraying distance helped produce a more uniform application, even though one may be tempted to spray a little closer than necessary. I have also used one of Vega Bond's V600 two-part kits, which produces a little higher R-value and find the two products complement each other. The single cans are much easier to manage in tight spaces and you're able to spray in a little more leisurely manner than the large kit which requires fairly continuous spraying. I think the 240 board feet (20 per can) is fairly accurate in terms of amount if applied consistently, though it was difficult in my particular situation to confirm.Overall, I was pleased with both the application and results of the product and I would purchase again without hesitation.

Used it to insulate our porch that we closed in. Product was very easy to use and cleaned up well. Product had no issue sticking to the new construction material. Quality is awesome it even sound damped.

What an easy way to insulate! I'm pretty handy but never used spray foam insulation. The directions are simple, easy to follow and I got professional results. It takes about 1 can to learn the spray flow rate and how to best apply it. As they tell you, it's better to apply several thinner coats than 1 thick coat. It sprays about 14"-16" wide so it covers a lot of area quickly. I had to slow my motion rate to get even, complete coverage. I was only spraying walls so overspray or 'snow' wasn't bad and I didn't need long sleeves or a hat to keep myself clean. I couldn't be happier and I'm ordering 2 more cases to finish up the job.

These cans of Vega bond are really good. Easy to use and not too messy (on walls). I heated them as required. I moistened where I sprayed, even though it is humid in my area. I applied to walls between 68 and 74 degrees F. I had a fan blowing air out. I also wore the suit and mask.I had really good results on the walls. I had to use lower pressure (less trigger pull) to keep from blowing fresh foam off the wall where I had just sprayed, otherwise so easy to use. I caution against using this closed cell product in walls under sheetrock as I am doing. It does not expand flat, but ends up blobby as other reviewer photos show. I came back on another day and ground off a lot of foam where it protruded past the studs, but still had to touch up voids. Filling voids and filling completely is not necessary, so I really made this project harder. I made a guide for my grinder to rest on the studs and spin a 6" twisted wire cup to grind down the foam flush with the studs. I have to flip it over to get 6 more inches, and then I have a small ridge down the center that can just touch them lightly with a smaller grinder and twisted wire cup brush or belt sander. People reviewing longer saber saw blades said they trimmed the closed cell foam using those by hand after attaching a handle. I wish I did not read that, because I tried and was not successful. Don't think you need this flat for sheetrock. See Spray Jones or other youtuber describing why air sealing of spray foam is superior to fiber fill systems. I would have done the entire room differently if I had seen Spray Jones advice.BTW, I also used the 640 board feet kit with the two tanks from Vega Bond, which is also awesome. The foam on that kit went on more uniformly than these cans in this review. The foam sprayed from the big tank kit is quite a bit tougher and stronger than this purple foam. The purple seems to stick well to the yellow. I really only bought the purple because I was not sure how much I needed, and I thought that I would be spraying it on multiple days. And, as it turns out, my guess was a good one.

Coverage was great. Instructions was easy to understand. The spray gun worked amazing...no mess. Sprayed on a metal shed product stuck very well. Still need another coat in some areas, but that was user error. Shipped well and all cans were intact.

Love this product, very easy to use.I'm on my third case and every can worked great. I can say you get great results as long as you use the gun cleaner between cans and change tip with every can change. Would highly recommend especially when you only want to do a small area at a time without having to move everything out of your shop at one time.

I was really worried that it was going to be difficult getting the hang of applying the foam in an even way. The nozzles that come with look like a joke at first but they really work great. While you do get a lot out of a little can, I’m not sure that if you have a large area to do, that it wouldn’t be better to get the larger jugs. Other than that I highly recommend.

The spray foam is easy to use. Covers well and sticks to surfaces great. Highly recommended.

Installed this product in a cargo trailer camper conversion and couldn't be happier with the final result. Super easy to install with the provided and gun and clean up was simple. Would totally recommend and will be using Vega Bond on my next install.

This is the best spray foam insulation I have used.

Great product. This is the best bang for your Buck with the spray foam. Much cheaper than a froth pak.

Does not perform. Spray is uneven and splotchy. Lots of bubbles in foam. Would not recommend
