I really like this organizer! It’s sturdy, well-built, and has a smooth, seamless feel when opening the drawers. The steel construction makes it durable, and the turquoise powder-coated finish gives it an aesthetically pleasing look—much nicer than your typical storage box.I got this to add to my shed for better organization, and it will be a great addition. The compartments are well-designed, providing plenty of space for tools, small accessories, or anything else you need to keep neatly stored. The two-latch system is secure, and the option to add a lock is a great feature for extra protection.Overall, this is a solid and well-made organizer that’s both functional and stylish. If you’re looking for a durable storage solution that also looks great, I highly recommend it!

I'm not a big supporter of Amazon Basics products, but other metal toolboxes in this price range weren't really long enough to accommodate my Kobalt hammer. I have one of starter tool kits in a soft roll up case that I hate more than anything, and the tools I've acquired apart from that kit live in an old wooden wine crate. I'm long overdue for buying a proper toolbox.This thing is quite roomy. Quite heavy too, but it's apparent when you hold it; it's sturdy. The tracks for the drawers glide smooth as butter. The finish is nice too; this doesn't look like it will chip easily. As others have mentioned, the lid acts as a locking mechanism for the drawers and must be opened first. The clasps to secure the lid are designed to accommodate small locks, which wasn't a feature I was looking for but found thoughtful. I can also see those clasps being a nuisance as they are longer than the top drawer and require you to hold them up to push the drawer back in. This thing is going to live in my closet so I'm not too concerned about it, but if this was my work toolbox I might feel mildly inconvenienced by them.The "Amazon Basics" sticker was easy enough to remove and didn't leave a residue. I hope to spend many years outfitting this thing with my own stickers.My only concern is the handle. It looks sturdy enough, but this toolbox is already quite heavy. The specs on this says the maximum weight recommendation is 100lbs, and I don't think I have 100lbs worth of tools nor do I think you could fit 100lbs worth of tools inside of this (at least not the types of tools I'd expect anyone who buys this would use it for).Overall I'm genuinely impressed with this toolbox, and cautiously optimistic about the handle. I think someone else mentioned it in their review, but I'll look to add some contact paper or rubberized / textured mats to the inside of the drawers so hopefully my tools won't slide around too much while I'm transporting it.

I needed a new toolbox and as soon as I saw this Amazon Basics Steel Tool Box, I knew I had to have it. First off—the turquoise color is absolutely beautiful and really stands out.It’s a great size and feels very solid and heavy, even empty. The top opens to a nice storage area, and the two drawers slide out smoothly. At first, the drawers can feel a little stuck when pulling them out, but that’s actually a safety feature to keep them from sliding open while you’re carrying it.The latches open and close easily, and I like that there’s an option to add a small lock. One feature I wasn’t a big fan of is that the drawers won’t open unless the top is open, but it’s something I can get used to.Once filled with tools, this toolbox does get pretty heavy, so that’s something to keep in mind. That said, it’s very sturdy and well built. You could even repurpose this for makeup or hair accessories if you like the toolbox style for organization.Overall, a high-quality, durable toolbox with a great look—just be aware of the weight once it’s loaded.

Just has a few quirks you have to deal with. You must push the drawers all the way in before closing the lid, and the lock holes occasionally find themselves bent out of shape, but that's easily fixed.If you're like me, you're only picking this model for the color (Phins up!); otherwise you could just go to Harbor Freight. It has a good weight and can comfortably hold many many tools. It has been a solid work toolbox and well worth the asking price.

Pretty well-made. The finish is amazing. The metal and framework seem very substantial and strong. The drawers, however, are difficult to lock shut. You have to almost hold them in tightly while you close the lid then move the clasps out of the way to lock it down. I’m going to keep it anyway just because it’s really well-made otherwise. I have a feeling I may have tried to close the drawer with the lacking mechanism in the way and knocked the drawer out of alignment or something like that. I think it can be tweaked back into shape and be perfectly great again. It’s quite heavy for a woman, but the color is fantastic – very fun. I will be putting some shelf paper or something inside to protect the finish. I know. How girly of me!!

This is not a carry around toolbox. This is a small Workbench toolbox. If it fits all your tools you do not have enough tools.Like a bigger bench tool box you must open the top to open the drawers.The latches do have the talent of getting in the way of the top drawer and lid at the same time. If you can't figure out how to position the latches after a few times you should probably not be allowed to use sharp tools.To those saying the drawers are hard to open, yah that is how it is supposed to be. Open the top, put your thumb against the box, and pull with your fingers, Just like you would with much more expensive box.If it didn't latch and lock so well the drawers would open if you were actually carrying it.I'm buying a second one and my wife wants one for office supplies.My only real complaint is that Amazon needs to add shelf liners.

I love it, it’s a bit heavy so not great for carrying it around but if it is going to stay in one place it’s fine. It’s a bit more green than the picture shows. Drawers roll smoothly. Only downside is the latches from the top lid keep the drawers from closing if you don’t remember to flip them up first. Love the color!

Excellent for the money paid and just what I was looking for to store various tools on my work bench. Very happy ++++++

I like the colour and build quality. But:(1) the drawers are extremely shallow. I realize that’s just physics but what seemed like it would be useful in the picture translates into “what am I going to put into this?” once it is in your hands. But you will find something to put in the drawers.(2) there is an obviously needed mechanism to prevent the drawers from just sliding open when you carry the unit around by the handle. In a perfect world, this mechanism would operate like the “whisper touch” drawer mechanism in Mark Zuckerberg’s kitchen. Well, obviously that’s too much to ask for but you have to absolutely reef on the drawers to get them open. I thought I would “work them in” and they would reach Zuckerberg level of ease, but no such luck so far.(Mark, if you’re reading this… aww never mind, probably what I want to say at this moment is best left unsaid in an Amazon review)Anyway, it’s a pretty good unit, and pretty, and you get what you pay for so you wouldn’t go too far wrong buying it!
