Great Little Radio
Hard to believe how good this little beauty is! Never tried the supplied ear buds, but sound is super though Sony MDR-V150 earmuff-style headphones. The automatic shutoff is a nice battery saving feature, although I have two complete college football games and two trips to the gym on the first battery (probably about 11 hours), and it's still going stong. If you are looking for a vary small, but highly functional radio, this is it.

Love the size
This is the first portable radio I have ever used. I love the size - small enough to not be in my way when I work out. Reception is not perfect but since I've never had another one, I don't have anything to compare to. But overall, I can get most of the stations I want to listen to with bearable statics some of the time (depending which direction I'm facing). I got a $30 discount for getting an Amazon credit card. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it for $60.

Not bad, could have more features for the price
This is a nice little radio but reception in buildings is pretty shoddy. Outdoors, reception for both AM and FM is pretty good. For $60, you'd expect it to have some other features like voice recording to flash memory, or some limited flash MP3 storage (256mb or 512mb) but it lacks those features. This radio's optimal price would be $30, no more. At $60, you're obviously paying for the Sony brand, not the quality.

Outdated product in today's age
Though its a good product, its outdated for today's technology. Also very difficult to tune it to the right station as auto-tune functionality hardly worksMy cellphone FM gives much clear reception and is easier to carry around than this Sony radio. I am planning to sell it online as I am not finding any use of it now. Moreover, the sound quality is not good. The mega bass is not "mega" in any sense. The reception has lot of noise. I wonder how my cellphone radio is playing much better than a dedicated FM radio

WOW!!!! Talk about a price increase!!!!!
I am currently on my third SRF-M97. I dropped the first one more than once, and it finally gave out. The second out wasn't dropped, but it wore out (I listen to the radio at work, walking the dog, getting ready in the morning...). I'm looking to replace my present one because although it will still get FM, for some reason it won't get AM anymore (and that's what I listen to -- go Randi and Stephanie!).But there is NO way this radio is worth the new price. It's shocking that it's suddenly 3 times the amount of my 1st and over twice the price of the one I bought last year. The construction is REALLY, REALLY cheap.I obviously loved this radio (buying 3 of them), but it's mostly because of the size. This price is ridiculous.

This is perfect. It gets decent reception
I needed a small am fm radio for work and the gym. This is perfect. It gets decent reception, gets alot of use from each battery, and seems to hold up well to abuse. I would recommend it.

SRF-M97 is ok
I wanted to get a mini FM radio so I could listen to a number of NPR radio shows on the weekends and still get something done around the yard, etc. After researching and reading reviews I guessed that the Sony Radio Walkman would do the trick. Unfortunately, the two stations that I normally listen to fade in and out constantly no matter what I do. The NPR station is only a mile from my house. Other stations come in loud and clear. The programming wasn't difficult after I read the directions. The megabass is good. At first the earbuds were painful, but they're better now. For the price it should receive a station a mile up the street.

A really good compact radio
I got this for my partner who was using a clunky old cassette walkman on his daily power walks - hard to fit in the pocket of gym shorts and a pain to have to carry. This works fine; the fidelity of the earphones could be better, but that's a problem I've found with all earbud type devices. Good price, good performance, and you don't have to be an engineer to program it.
