Oh wow, what a hidden gem of a find, especially when I was tight on both budget and time. I had unexpectedly run out of my previous litter from Purina and honestly was not too upset about it. The quality I got from their “lightweight” line, despite the steep price, was disappointing to say the least. I have one kitten who is healthy and well hydrated, which means they use the litter a lot. With the old brand, litter would get stuck to their rectum, but I have not had that issue with this one at all. The fragrance is strong when you first open and use the litter, but it slowly dissipates. It absorbs odor, especially urine, very well. If your cat does not bury well after doing number two, there is a chance you may smell it unless you cover it yourself. I clean the litter at least once a day, and it has yet to make my room smell at all. My bathroom is right next to my bedroom, so that says a lot. I do have two air purifiers in my home, though. I also love that you get a hefty amount for the price, and it goes a long way. That is a big pro for me, especially since my cat loves to dig, even if they are not always great at burying. One potential con is that it is heavy. I use a stainless steel scoop for hygiene and longevity, and wow, scooping can feel like a workout. Even as an athletic woman who strength trains consistently, I noticed it by the end. That said, I am very meticulous when scooping and tend to sift thoroughly to get every bit, so some of that is on me. Honestly, I kind of like that it is heavy.( especially since they have lighweight versions in their brand line) It seems to satisfy my kitten’s need to bury, and low key I feel like it will make them buff as heck. 😂 All in all, I am sold on this product and will continue using it. As someone on a tight budget who still wants their cat to be comfortable, I do not see myself switching litters anytime soon. I actually ordered another batch right after submitting this review.

Clumps very well. Easy to scoop out and change the whole litter pan when needed. Really keeps odor down and lasts a good while. There is still tracking, because paws pick up litter, it just happens, but I will say I have noticed less little litter particles all over the floor in and around the box than with the previous brand. It is heavy! This isn't a lightweight litter, so keep that in mind if you have strength or mobility restrictions. The picky cat didn't mind the litter change at all (which is AMAZING, because...PICKY!), and is still using the litter box despite the "lavendar" scent and the change from the norm. This has not been the case in the past, so I think it is important to add this to the review. She is VERY picky about the litter that she will dane set foot upon. Trying to change a brand or even just a different type of the same brand has resulted in messy chaos many times. That was not the case at all with this litter change. I was worried about the Lavendar scent turning her away, but upgrading to this litter has caused no issues with the pickiest cat in the household!

This Arm and Hammer cat litter is purrfect for Logan and myself! It's absorbent, doesn't track, very little dust, smells lovely and, very important to me, it comes in an18lb cardboard box that has a sturdy carry handle. I'm a petite lady in my 70s and lifting/carrying a 40+ lb package of anything, cat litter or otherwise, just isn't happening on a good day anymore. And right now I'm nursing a fractured wrist, so am flying on one wing! Thank you Arm and Hammer and Amazon for providing this great kitty litter. Four ...well... Three thumbs up from us! 😸

Smells amazing and really controls odors even with multiple cats. It clumps well and keeps the box fresh longer than most brands I’ve tried. Only downside is that it’s a bit dusty when pouring, but overall a great litter.

This absolutely is the best cat litter I have used. I would say the best part is how well it masks the smell. Normally, I can at least smell the cat pee/poop while cleaning out the box. With this litter even while shoveling out the waste, I cannot smell anything besides lavender. Excellent masking ability. The only negative thing I can say is that this might track out the box just a LITTLE bit more than other clay litters I have used. It seems to have a medium of crystals or crushed shell like material mixed in that spreads more than others. But i will take this small con any day for how well it covers odors.

VERY strong "fragrance". Excellent for odor control if you have more than one cat but the cedarwood smell is very strong.

This is the litter that I have been sticking with since I tried it out several years ago. I litter box trained my dog from the time she was a baby. After trying several other brands and fragrances, this is the one that stood out as the best choice. There is minimal tracking of it around my house. The cedar wood fragrance does an amazing job at keeping odor down to unnoticeable. I don’t know if it works as well for cats. But, it has made keeping my life easy and odor free for many years now. It doesn’t even bother me that I can only get it by ordering it online.

My cat really likes this litter, and he's a cat, so he usually hates everything I give him. I like the smell and the easy cleaning, and the litter doesn't get caught between his toes - if you have a cat, you'll know what I mean - so he doesn't track it all over the house, and I don't have to watch him gnawing at his paws to get rid of litter bits that are irritating him. The price is good for a premium, name-brand litter - my cat likes a very full litter box, so I have to use two boxes of litter at a time, making the price very attractive. Overall, this is a very good product at a very good price.

So grateful to this seller for offering this product with free delivery. Definitely by far one of the best quality cat litters out there. It clumps well and absorbs any nasty smells. I'm really hoping that the Arm and Hammer Slide will also become available without the crazy delivery fee!
