Dock Extender 30pin Extension Adapter Cable for Apple iPad2 iPhone 4 3G iPod -Black

I recently bought an iDapt 4 charging dock that holds 3 phones/items at once (and an additional USB port/charger that makes 4). I have 2 micro usb adapters installed for mine and my wife's android phones and an iPhone connector (I have it because its my work phone). With the Otterbox Defender (the big one) case on my iPhone it wouldn't connect to the charger dock, so I bought this extender and it works perfectly. Fits through the case and allows me to dock my phone at night without removing my case. Well worth the couple bucks it cost.

I got this adapter to use with an older generation iPod nano because for my original Bose SoundDock and another docking speaker I own the iPod 30-pin connector was no longer making a good connection. This seems to really help with that issue. It adds a bit of bulk and a lot of height to the nano, but I'm satisfied. Durability so far (a couple of months) doesn't seem to be an issue. It's sometimes a little hard to attach to a dock connector because the female side is off-center toward the back edge of the adapter. Having my old tech that was a big investment at the time continue to work is a good thing!

I needed this adapter after putting the OtterBox Armor phone case on my I Phone - I was unable to plug in my Car adapter because the new phone case being larger. I searched everywhere for an Extender and was unsuccessful. I should have checked on AMAZON first and from now on will do that....you can find everything here!!! This Adapter was reasonably priced and although the estimated date of arrival seemed a really LONG time to wait. The package arrived a week before the estimate given and this Adapter works great. I am a Happy Customer!!

I bought this for my daughter because she needed a dock extender and the price seemed reasonable. The connection to the docking station has failed do to the flimsy board that has the pins to go into the connector on the docking station. I have a more expensive one but it hasn't failed. Consider the cost as to the quality your getting.

I have an Apple iPhone 3GS in an Otterbox Defender case. I have been unable to insert the phone into any dock without removing the case, so I don't utilize the dock I have for my phone and instead plug it directly into a cable. I just purchased a new car that has iPhone integration and the cable does not plug into the phone when it is in the Otterbox. While this attachment does allow me to plug the phone into the car cable without removing it from the case, I would not recommend trying to insert the phone into the dock. The adapter sticks out fairly far and adjusts the center of gravity of the phone. The phone stands up out of the dock quite a bit and I am afraid of damage to the phone port due to the weight of the phone. So, it does accomplish my primary goal of utilizing the car cable. It does not allow me to safely use the dock stand.

Did work with RCA Dual Alarm iPod charging Station clock, but iPhone would not keep charge. Used charging plug in that came with phone and phone worked fine, kept charge.

This works very well with my iPod Touch and iPhone. However with size of my iPhone's protective case and my docking station, I still cannot manage to use this. With a smaller protective case it would work great. I leave my iPod Touch attached to this adapter all of the time.

Like many others I'm sure, I have a variety of iPhone docking stations and a variety of iPhone cases. Trouble is, they rarely play nice together. This product solves that problem for barely a few bucks! I bought three of these, installed them in three different docking stations and I now can use virtually any case with my phone and still charge it and/or play tunes through the docking station. I will buy again from these guys for sure! TIP: No matter how good an extension adapter is, you will likely find it coming out with the phone every-time you remove the phone from the dock. This is not a knock on this particular brand, it is simply a fact with adapters. MY SOLUTION: take a couple drops of Gorilla Glue and put it around the docking station where the adapter will touch it. Plug the adapter in, let it dry for a while, and afterwards you have a permanently extended docking station!
