Kind of works, but it has some flaws. It's a return for me. READ UPDATE: 2 to 4 stars.
After fully charging this TENs unit for the first time, I plugged everything in and it worked good, but the heat wasn't that noticeable. The pads seem uncommon because each cable connects to four connectors instead of one or two per pad, so most after market pads won't work with this.I used to have a HiDow TENs unit and another unit from some off-brand company, and those worked great when I had them.I don't know if it was my specific unit, but the battery didn't last that long. It already started showing that it was on its last bar after about less than an hour of use. When the TENs machine is on or even charging, LEDs stay illuminated. After a while it'll dim when it's being used, but there's no option to turn off the lights. When it's charging, the light will just stay on.Thank you for making it, but it honestly just wasn't for me. It's simply a hard return. There are similar products for less than half the price. The heat function barely worked. It really wasn't hot enough for me to justify paying $88.Update: They sent me a letter with a $10 Amazon gift card. I've increased the rating from two starts to four because they hand wrote a letter expressing their concern about my experience with their TENs unit. I still wouldn't personally recommend this, but their customer support seems top notch.

Research be wary before you spend that money..
I like this product very much. It's not the first one I've owned. I have one of the Tens 7000 which works very well. I am little confused however. This is my first endeavor into the EMS side of things. I tried to do research as fast as I could because the sale price was going up I purchased mine few days ago for approximately $80. It's now over a hundred and and going back up. it was 80 or 90% off so took a Gamble and got it. I was very excited when I got it and immediately took it out of the box and started reading. I couldn't find anything that actually said this is an EMS machine it talks about a combo of Tens and EMS as kind of the same (which there Not) with heat. From the moment I started reading the paperwork I had that sinking feeling of I messed up. Turning it on there was not one thing on the screen about picking Tens or EMS but there was for heat. If you look at any of the other units available they have a selection of do you want heat Tens or EMS. If I'm missing something then someone please point this out. Do some research be wary before you spend that money..

FlexHeat Tens EMS Unit with Heat
I love this FlexHeat Tens unit. I fell off a swing set when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I herniated several disc in my Lumbar on the job in 1987. I was in a car accident in March 2019. I now have 14 herniated disc from the cervical, thoracic & lumbar areas. I am in continual pain plus from the accident I now have two rips in my left shoulder and one rip in my right shoulder from the seat belt. I love the way I can turn on the tens unit and have it also give me heat where I have pain. This a new company and the machine is kind of new. I know the battery needs to last longer. But if you alternate between the heat and the tens it will last longer. My tens unit will last longer when I don't use them together for longer than 30 minutes together. The company is very caring and helpful when you reach out to them about your concerns. I know them being new they are trying to work on the battery lasting longer. Please don't let others tell you that this is not an awesome machine cause I am telling you it is. I don't have to take as many pain pills since I purchased mine. I also use the TensXtends Flextone Electrode Life Extension Gel which helps extend the life of my pads. I have owned another tens unit before this one and having the heat with it really is awesome. It is like having my chiropractor in my home all the time with me. I do see a chiropractor two times a week.

GOD SEND
I bought this unit and had a problem with getting the intensity level to increase. I sent it back and got a new one. I had the same issue again. Chris the president of the company emailed me and called me personallyto see if we could get it working. With Chris's help we got it to work and I have enjoyed it ever since. I highly recommend this product for any joint or muscle pain as it has 2 heat settings on it also. I used it on my knee (for the joint pain) for 20 minutes and I am still pain free. I LOVE THIS TENS UNIT

FlexTone FlexHeat is not Flexible
The FlexTone FlexHeat is a great TENS. I use it on my sciatica. The heat with the TENS and EMS does the trick every time. The reason for the 3 stars is because FlexTone only has the 1 sized pad and the 2 that comes with it are the only 2 FlexTone pads available on the market. There is another company that has a compatible pad the exact size that comes with the FlexHeat. However there are no other compatible sizes available on the market. Why is that you ask? FlexTone uses a unconventional 4-pin connector. The numerous, varying sized pads that are available on the market are 2-pin and will not fit the FlexHeat. Nor can I find anything that converts the 4-pin to the universal 2-pin configuration. They get 3 stars because the FlexTone FlexHeat is not Flexible.
