the holes for drainage
I have had good luck with luring the Japanese beetles to the traps. The only drawback is that the beetles will claw/chew their way out of the small holes for water drainage. I had to put duct tape across the holes to add some strength. I also reinforced the hanging holes with duct tape to prevent tearing of the plastic due to wind.

This thing works
I was a bit skeptical but I hung two up - front yard and back. Instead of tons of beetle damage on several kinds of plants and shrubs, I have a half dozen chewed up leaves; and big bags full of japanese beetles. So far, it has lasted a month and is going strong.

Works almost too well
Works very well for rounding up Japanese beetles. However, keep in mind that you may be bringing in more beetles than just the ones in your garden.I had several neighbors tell me that they noticed a lot less Japanese beetles in their yards after I put out my traps.I don't know what the range is on these but I am guessing its pretty wide.Bigger bags would be nice, of course. And if you get any of the bait on your hands or clothes - wash your hands or change clothes immediately. Or you will be inundated with the nasty buggers.

Really Attracts The Beetles
Assembling these kits takes a little time and the metal poles could be stronger. But the beetles do come and fly into the bags. I will definitely use this product next summer!

great product make sure to read review for helpful tip
works great but make sure you put away from your house or garden. So it will attract them away from the area you don't want them in. Works very well .
