SuperMoss (26965 Spanish Moss Preserved, Black, 4oz

Exactly what I wanted and what I was expecting. The black does come off on hands, but doesn’t effect my use or bother me.

The media could not be loaded.  This moss has been dyed of course but the color not only isn’t uniform, it’s very light- not the really dark color in the photos, barely a dark grey. It is quite moist for a preserved moss, I had to dry it in my dehydrator before using in any of my displays to prevent possible mold issues. It will stain some surfaces too.

The photos of this product are over saturated. Super Moss has over saturated the images they display on their packaging and ads as well. This is not a true black- in fact next to true black it looks dark green- grey. This may not matter to some- but to true Halloween crafters or say, to someone whose wedding colors include black - it certainly does. I buy tons of Super Moss products and have never been so disappointed in a product.

I've always liked this brand but this is my first time using a colored variation. I need black for this particular project and this is certainly not black. At a distance, it might pass for "dark" green at best. These photos were taken standing in front of my door wall in natural daylight and no flash was used. I would call this color more of dark green, definitely NOT black.
