Transformers: Rescue Bots: Meet Chase the Police-Bot (Passport to Reading) Paperback – May 7, 2013

The RB books are great beginner readers, to help learn those simple words. Nicely repetitive on the first words like 'is', 'am', 'not', 'I', etc.I got it for my youngest who is 3 and a big fan of Chase. Though my 5 year old loves it too (he's the Heatwave fan). They both enjoy the story. All the books seem to have a bit of a moral/lesson to them which I like, it's not an obvious message, but in Meet Chase, if you can pick out it's about teamwork and keeping calm under pressure.I personally didn't find the writing confusing. It feels more like they didn't want all the books to start the exact same way, so they put the introduction to the team in a different part of the story. It interrupts the flow a little bit... but it's hard to get stories like that to flow anyway. In adult level reading it would have been approached differently, but then we understand more words than children of that reading level do. They can't have an intricately woven, complex plot when you're dealing with 3 through 6 year olds.

My three year old, Willy loves the Rescue bot series. These books are a perfect fit for him. He loves them and it gives another way to give him his rescue bot fix with turning on a show! He asks for these every night since they arrived. I would highly recommend them for young children. As he ages he will be able to read these on his own as well because the books are written for early readers. I believe these will be a favorite for a few years in our house.

My 3-year-old son lives, sleeps, breathes and would eat Rescue Bots for breakfast if he could (tip: make a Rescue Bots cereal). If he's not watching Rescue Bots (on Hub or on DVD), he's playing with his Rescue Bots toys. When it's time for bed, we have to read every single Rescue Bots book we own (six of them so far). Then he pretends to read them to us.This book, as well as the others in the "Meet the... Bot" series, has made my child excited about reading. No other story book (save for Zathura -- because it's got a robot in it), has done that. So if your kid likes the Rescue Bots, but isn't crazy about reading, get the entire Passport to Reading Rescue Bot series. Easy sight words, story lines that follow individual episodes, and familiar characters will make your child want to read.

This series is very cute, and my son loves it. The stories are very simple, because they're aimed at early readers. It gets a little boring for me to read over and over again (as with most books), but it's a big hit with the kid.

My 3 year old grandson loved his Meet Chase the Police-Bot book. I bought him the book to go with the Chase costume we got him fr Halloween and the book was the perfect compliment for him and his costume. He read the book, put on his costume, and acted out the story. It was just a short little, inexpensive book but it made a big impression on my 3 year old!

Bought this book for my 4 year old son, who received a lot of the Rescue Bots for Christmas. We have read this book several times before his bedtime. He loves to look at the pictures and follow the simple story. I recommend this to any fan of the Rescue Bot series.

My 5 year old has been a huge fan of the Transformers Rescue Bots series. He was very happy to open the package and wanted to read them immediately. The story is a retelling of an episode that aired not an original tale which did not bother my son one bit. This is a great book for any transformers RB fan!

My boys (aged 4 and almost 6) absolutely love the Rescue Bots show and have the transformer figures, and they LOVED this book! They have some other Rescue Bot books that don't seem to follow the cartoon, which is confusing to them. This one follows an episode, and the human characters are all familiar ones from the show. The price was great too. I'm looking forward to more of these books coming out soon!

Though he is a bit of a Goody Two Shoes, Chase is an interesting character that is obviously designed to expouse the virtues of law enforcement.

My son (a die hard rescue bots fan) loves these stories. They are thin books with very short, basic & easy to read stories based on one of the tv episodes, so if you're looking for chunky books with intricate, new stories then these aren't for you, but I've been made to read these virtually every night since we got them so from a 4 year old's perspective they're worth 5 stars!

Very pleased with this book , well made and the grandchildren love reading about their favourite Rescue Bots. My just turned 6 yr old can read it himself too . . Good to encourage boys to read.

Great for 4 year old nephew. He loves having these books read to him.
