MLS-3401 EasyFill Electronic Automatic Filling System

I got tired of refilling my outdoor water fountain every day. I installed this automatic refill system several months ago and it works perfect. It maintains the water at the same level all the time. I haven't added a drop of water since I installed this system.

I installed the EasyFill Electronic valve 2 days ago and it worked well at first. I went to check on it later and water was pouring all over the place. (For some reason, the default valve position is valve open. ) I've emailed the company for help, but I may end up returning it for an old-fashioned float valve.Update 7/15/18. I never received a reply to my email so I ended up returning the device and received a refund of $131.71.

Over the past several years I have tried several passive autofill devices and have always been disappointed. They would work fine for several weeks to months but then would always fail or only work intermittently.I decided to try a powered device and this was the most affordable one I could find.I have had it in my water garden since 12/14 and it has worked very well.I did have trouble with the sensor several weeks ago and the company replaced it without question. In fact , they shipped one out as soon as I notified them I was having trouble. The unit itself has a 3 year warranty which is also nice.Much more dependable than the typical passive float type systems, but a lot less expensive than the commercial powered setups out there.UPDATE 6/15/17I have downgraded this device from 5 stars to 3. I have also removed it from my water garden since I could not get it working properly for any length of time.I initially purchased this on Amazon 12/18/14. Since then I have replaced 3 sensors (no charge since they were covered by the 3 year warranty) and most recently the power supply (not covered under the warranty).The valve will still not work consistently so I can't trust it since sometimes it will not shut off even though the sensor is completely covered by water.This has been very frustrating but I finally decided to just remove the whole thing and have gone back to using a livestock tank float valve (made by Rubbermaid, ~$25 at TSC).

Great basic system for quick filling small ponds. More than easy once you learn how the valve must be positioned to operate.

This unit shuts off when the contacts are submerged. Easy install and has given no problem over the past year. Excellent for a project where you do not want a large float valve showing. Ours is installed in a small fountain and is completely hidden.

Saves labor and memory to keep refilling - works as advertised.

I could never get this thing to work, more specifically, it would never shut off. In all fairness to the manufacturer, when I emailed them, they did send me another sensor to try, but it still didn't work. They said some water districts purify their water too much which prevents it from working properly??? I gave up on this and ordered a Levolor Water fill system which works perfectly (apparently water purity isn't an issue for the Levolor). It cost more, but it works!
