The best faucet mount system, period
These filters accompany faucet mount systems (compatible with both) that DuPont puts out. Let me tell you, it's better than anything I've ever used. These filters are designed to last a long time, unlike other faucet mounting systems which are limited sometimes to less than 20 gallons. The truth is, however, that these replaceable filters cost less than most other brands of replaceable filters. There are also no batteries that need to be changed (each unit is self contained), the filtering system is state of the art (does a better job than other filters on the market), and the filter, till the very last drop, experiences little to no pressure change (I'm almost certain that there is no pressure change.Basically, this water filter system, and consequently the item described on this page, filters like those fancy $200.00/1,000gal refrigerator unit water filters, with constant pressure and great tasting water. In fact, this system clears contaminants that most other filters can only dream of. Just check the packaging details. This product is almost always cheaper online. I bought the original filter system with stock filter (a 200/gal) for nearly 200% more than what I could have paid here (or just about any other site). Just do it.You will appreciate the quality of these filters. The only caution I would keep in mind is the fact that you should NEVER filter hot water (through any filter for that matter). If you want to "filter" your hot water, then just boil it.You won't be sorry!

NOT for elderly/impaired
My elderly mother (87) needed a dependable easy to install & maintain system that’s also physically easy to use. I’m sorry to say this didn’t work out for her.My mom has hearing & vision issues and really bad arthritis especially in her hands and she had a difficult time turning the valve on & off. The valve is too tight and the knob is rounded like a ball making it hard for her to grip. She continued to use it but the straw that broke the camels back was the poor flow. I’m not sure of the gallons per minute ratings but it was so bad that she’d put the doggie water bowl in the sink to fill & go feed the stray cats while it was filling up.Also after only a couple filter changes the cap that holds the cartridge in place cracked in several places.I must say I’m surprised and disappointed that a reputable name like dupont produced this poorly designed product. When I realized the trouble she was having I set out to find a better system for her and I did exactly that. After much trial and research we settled on the PUR brand faucet filter. She’s thrilled with it. The design is much better for a person with her physical limitations. Even the pivot on the valve handle is offset to give more leverage & it flashes green to let her know it’s still working okay vs a dimly lit digital display. The flow rate is excellent but best of all is the replacement cartridges are available everywhere she’s even picked some up herself.I’m sorry dupont, we truly tried.I'm not associated with this product or any product or seller.I’ve never received anything in return for my review or options

Fix instructions for meter function
I just installed the new 200 gal filter cartridge I bought, and just as has happened each time before, the darn meter didn't come back on. I saw lots of users also have this problem. Some didn't seem to get help from Dupont customer services. I did. So I'm sharing the instructions I was sent by their customer service dept. the last time (2018) I ran into a problem with the meter not engaging when I replaced the filter, & some tips I've found helped me.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Instructions on how to straighten the cartridge sensor on the FM350 water filterMeter often quits after inserting new or changing filter. Prong at end of filter tends to disable sensor in reader. You may have to repeat these steps 2 – 3 times for sensor to go back in place. Please follow instructions below on how to reset the cartridge sensor on the FM350 water filterRemove the cartridge from the back.Unscrew the meter from the front. On the back of that you should see a small, black button. This is the cartridge sensor. If the sensor is bent or crooked, take your thumb and straighten it out as best you can.Put the meter back on to the front, turn it until you hear a click, and re-insert the cartridge. Be sure to support it from the bottom so that you do not break it off at the mounting nut. When you do this the display should flash blue and read ---.Turn the water on and then the filter. When you do this the display should read “FLH” for the flush cycle.Light will come on for a few minutes and then it will go out in order to save the battery life, but meter will continue working.Let the flush cycle run. It should not take longer than 5 to 6 minutes. After that the counter should reset itself to read 000.If this does not work, please contact me at 1-866-709-2086 ext. 2113 and we will go from there. You can continue to use this unit until we can get the situation resolved. Once you do the first initial 5 minute flush of the cartridge the water is going to be filtered regardless of what the meter does. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused you. If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Note: I haven't tried the ph.# above, so don't know if it's current. Some tips:Both the filter cover and the meter cover are quite tricky to get back in place exactly right. The meter won't work if you haven't got the filter in absolutely properly, and the cover screwed completely straight and tight. Sometimes that's the sole reason the meter doesn't seem to be working. So before fiddling with the meter cover and sensor, double, triple check you got the cartridge in properly and the cover absolutely perfectly screwed back on.It helps to clean any hard water deposits off before reassembling with the new cartridge in place.Ditto if you do remove the sensor/meter cover. And ditto for dealing with spraying or dripping water from the connection to the faucet water.Basically all the screw in/on designs are a major pain. Getting them exactly right is possible, but it can take patience, patience, patience... doing it slowly, carefully, sometimes several times over.I really, really like having an actual # gallons used meter, not some vague # hours used that other systems offer. The amount of water that runs out in an hour depends on the life of the filter, and water pressure, and how far open you've got the faucet. So why use # hours as a metric for quantity used?? IMO, kudos for Dupont for using a common sense and actually useful metering system. But, NOT for the other aspects of their design. I don't know if there are ways to design the screw on parts so the are more user-friendly, but if there are, doing that seems a total no-brainer from the perspective of wanting to develop brand loyalty in customers! Or put differently: why on earth not correct a design that is pretty much guaranteed to drive users crazy - and away from sticking with your product??

Long-lasting and great, crystal-clear water!
We lived in Henderson, NV when we originally purchased our DuPont water filter and we were happy with it. Then, about a year and a half ago, we moved to Mesquite, NV. This little 'burb is a bit more run-down than Henderson and the pipes are a bit older. I wondered how the filter would hold up. Know what? It's doing a fine job! The apartment may have a bit of a bug problem, but my water is crystal-clear! These filters last a good, long time and are very much worth the investment. I love that I'm not adding to the plastic bottle problem by filtering directly into a glass or portable bottle. I haven't tried "the other guys" to compare directly, but this one has done fine and I see no reason to change, even after several years.
