Present for a friend it is a big book and they really enjoyed it

First ebook I've read, finished today. I had started reading the real book the week I started with ebooks so liking the real one a few chapters in decided to pay for the ebook, hoping my other purchases are as good and easily read

Having read both The Last Tempelar and Sanctuary and thoroughly enjoyed them I was looking forward with justifiable enthusiasm to this latest offering from Mr Khoury. What a disappointment. I'm afraid I must disagree with previous reviewers who described it as fast paced- hardly.It took what seemed an endless amount of time setting up the premise, introducing characters who frankly lacked any real depth or charm and not so much tantalising you with ' who dunnit, why and how' as signposting every twist and turn pages ahead. Only the last 20 to 30 pages raced along to what was in fairness a good conclusion but by then I'm sorry to say it was too late. I really didn't care.

Suspense and excitement all the way through. Good value for money and delivered well on time. I am sure a lot of people will enjoy this novel.

Fast moving book with characters you can empathize with and a plot you just can't wait to unravel. I like the end message too.I wish it could be that way!

Bought for husband who hardly ever reads when at home.However on holiday he couldnt put this book down and read it avidly and finished it in a couple of days.

enjoyed this book thoroughly while on holiday. a much more modern book compared to the Templar books that I previously read by Raymond but really worth the read.

Hmm, no reviews till now. Guess I'm the first to review this one.IT WAS GOOD. I read this more than a month ago hence i cannot give a lengthy review. The plot was interesting and it keeps you rooted. It is a mystery-thriller genre fiction. Description clearly gives you the outline.

I'm bewildered by the negative reviews of this book, citing Bush bashing and Christian bashing and how awful it is that the secular liberal author has written this book....It's a fictional story--very, very well written, as a matter of fact. I'm a Christian, and I was not at all offended by the semi-sleazy evangelist character. Hey, there ARE real-life semi-sleazy evangelists! The Bush-bashing character is a Iraq war Veteran who, discovering there were no WMDs, is very bitter about being wounded over there. There are real-life bitter Iraq war Veterans, too!Geez, I can't imagine that I'd be reading very much if I were always so concerned about having my political or religious views validated. I thought the book was very good. I particularly liked the way the author moved back and forth between the characters/locations.It was an interesting plot and exciting read--enjoyed it thoroughly!

Great story amplifying the effets of religious fanatism on world view. A danger we are not out of yet, leaving you wondering how it will all end.

Ein unglaublich spannendes Buch, das jede Menge verschiedener Aspekte in sich vereint: Thriller, Science Fiction, Fantasy, religiöse Aspekte --schnell und spannend geschrieben. Typisch in der Tradition Khourys!!Macht, Gier, Tod, New Age, Abenteuer pur -- es ist alles vorhanden. Unglaublich viele Handlungsstränge und Personen- man sollte sich fast einen Spickzettel anlegen, um die Übersicht nicht zu verlieren. Sprachlich teilweise anspruchsvoll geschrieben, aber eloquent, argumentativ mit einer starken Message. SEHR zu empfehlen!!!!
