Endless potential!
When I first opened this book, I wasn't sure if I would like how thick the lines were. However, when I finished my first design, I realized the end result was very pleasing! I have actually enjoyed this book more than any of my other approximately 40 books! So much so, I purchased a second one shortly after the first because I know I will not tire of it. I am fairly certain I will purchase at least one more even.PROS: Every single design in this book is intricate and unique. However, even if one design does remind you of another in the book, they are different enough to color in a way that your finished products will not necessarily look alike. I have not seen designs like this thus far. It is very satisfying coloring designs unlike any others before. They are far from simple, and that makes them very enjoyable to me personally.CONS: The paper is double-sided printed. Additionally, this is a Green Edition book. Though I appreciate recycling, this paper is fairly thin, so you must be sure to use the correct medium and/or colors that won't bleed through and ruin the design on the other side. This has caused me to color some designs differently than I would have if I did not have to worry about that. One improvement I wish I could make in production of the book - The printing is more "charcoal gray" than black. I believe the colored designs would look even better if the printing were a bit darker.

Coloring For All Ages
My daughter always enjoyed coloring books when she was little. I would get her ones like Strawberry Shortcake and Littlest Pet Shop. Now that she is a tween, she still loves to color and draw. These Dover coloring books are great. I even enjoy coloring right along with her. These random designs just take your mind off everything and you get caught up in nothing but the rhythmic motion of coloring and seeing white space get filled with color. It's almost meditative. Very relaxing and soothing after a busy day. I love how Dover has so many different coloring books for all ages, even ones adults can enjoy. My daughter has also gotten some of the Dover stained glass coloring books. After coloring them, my daughter likes to hang some in her windows. They look really cool when the sun shines in.If you want to see a nice variety of coloring books for any and all ages, type in "dover coloring books" in the amazon search space and it will bring up a bunch. Have fun!

Love these designs
Love these designs - I like simple graphic designs to color with bright markers. These are perfect, and the price is right. Note that the designs are on both sides of the page, so if using markers, you'll have to pick one since the color will definitely bleed through.

Very calming
This is a great price for a great book. There are 32 great images that are intricate but also easy - I don't find myself spending too much time choosing colours and designs like I do with other books so it's more relaxing and the patterns are calming, hypnotising. The paper is thick enough that your average (Crayola type) markers don't bleed through the pages in most cases, but the pages are double-sided which is a drawback for many people.Markers look fantastic and make the designs really pop even with your basic 10-pack Crayola set, but pencils and crayons look great too. Each page is different and so versatile, it's really great for the price.

Pretty
Nice designs with big bold print and not overly detailed. The pages are not single sided but they can be easily removed if necessary.

Good size images make for enjoyable coloring
I find the images in most coloring books for adults too small. This one is just right; not too tiny yet not so large. The only downside is that it could use some additional images as the book is very thin.

Double sided - not for gel pens
Gel pens being my choice of coloring tool, I bought this coloring book after seeing the wonderfully colored pages posted by others. The pages are not thick enough for gel pens and bleed through. Hmph! For pencil or crayon use however, this is a great book. The design on each page is unique with thick lines.

Value for money - fun to do
- There's a fairly even mix of curvy patterns and straight edge patterns, some patterns mix the two. A few have an Art Deco/ skyscraper feel to them that I liked a lot.- The designs are varied in pattern, but not in much variety in size of the spaces to colour - you can do all of these with standard 4mm width felt tip pens or wax crayons. No fineliners required, and there's no enormous blank areas that would need thick nibs either. I wouldn't like to be doing them with pencil crayons for sheer size of spaces to colour as blocks of colour, but it would be great if you were practising your shading with them - lots of space for that!- There's a white border around each mosaic - all 23cm x 18.5cm designs.- I specifically got this for when I came out of hospital - the designs have a nice thick black outline so my lack of fine motorskills through recovery meant I could still do a reasonable job and not worry too much about the edges...- I've been doing it whilst I listen to an audiobook on Pompeii (Mary Beard) - complemented each other quite well - found myself using a lot of Pompeii (brick) red and ochre (dull) yellow!!!As with all Dover Colouring books -- you get images on both sides of the paper - 15 pages = 30 sheets to colour (+ the title page little one).- there's a good variety of designs with no duds, none of that 'ack I really don't feel like doing that one'.- felt tip pens do bleed through to the other side, but that doesn't bother me, I don't want to display my pages anywhere, I just want to kill some hours...- it's one of the Tree Friendly ones - cover 100% recycled, innards 50% recycled card/paper.

Another good purchase
Bought this as a present for someone (adult) who loves colouring and she really liked it, so much so, she has said that when she is done with it she will buy another, with this being said, I will be buying one in the near future for mysef as she liked it so much.

Retro colouring!
I remember doing these kind of colouring pages when I was little, so wanted to revive them for my kids - and they love it. Both boys, aged 8 and 6, so not little any more, but they still set to furiously and it kept them busy for ages. A great book to pop in your bag for a journey or other boring event.
