Great vacation feeder for my fish
I have a 30 gallon tank and these work well while I am away for a couple weeks at a time. Bigger than I expected and didn’t cloud the water.

Happy, well fed fish while we were on vacation!
We have a litt- le 'pond' in our yard we stocked with cheapo goldfish. They have thrived out there eating mosquito larvae and who knows what else so well that they have grown from 1 inch to 4 inches over a couple years. However the pond does freeze over the winter. Our solution has been to set up a 50 gal aquarium in the garage to overwinter them . THe problem with this is we do take several 7-10 day vacays to warm climes in the winter and need to keep these guys fed. Vacation feeder blocks are the answer but the locally available ones are too small to keep 7- large hungry fish fed for a week. Yes we could put more in, but they dissolve too fast. Saw these and thought I would try them next trip. They were perfect! So easy to use! I tossed two in the aquarium before we left on a 6 day trip and crossed my fingers. There was no need to cross my fingers, these worked out great! They started dissolving almost right away and when we got back there was still about half the thickness of each block remaining on the bottom of the tank. The water in the tank had not gotten cloudy or stinky, and I did not see any weird residue and scraps of anything in the water or surface of the water. Fish were all alive and when I tossed in thier regular food they did not attack the fish food like they had not eaten for a week and were hungry. This tells me that they feeder blocks worked and they had enough food. Price was better than competitive feeder block and these worked so well I will keep some on hand.

Fish eat it
The fish seem to like it so it keeps them feed while I'm away but it does make a mess in the tank. It dissolves so that the tank has to be completely cleaned, but that's still better than dead fish.

Great Product!
Great Product! I researched and purchased this feeding system for my 10 gal tank before a 7 day trip. I put one in the tank before I left to test it and it immediately developed little green/black spots, which I thought were mold (like others have described). As it turned out, This was NOT mold, but the feeding pellets being exposed. I left for the trip and returned to find my two South American Cichlids to be happy and healthy - More so than when I left! It turns out that they like feeding themselves rather than waiting for me to give them flakes. I am going to continue using this feeding system, now that I am home. It is indeed more expensive, but I do think that my fish are better off, and that is what counts! Edit: After using the pods for two months straight in my tank, I began to notice problems. Number one is that over that amount of time, they began to turn the water very "hard".. They spiked the indicator for general hardness right off the scale with everything else remaining equal. The other problem was that, over two months, the material from the pods did indeed begin to clog my pump to some degree. This is unfortunate, because the fish had really enjoyed eating in this way, and it has been difficult for them to return to using flakes. I still give 'em five stars - they absolutely do what they're supposed to in an effective way!

Works Well, but Requires Some Maintenance
Pros: The fish survived my 10-day trip, and the water remains clear. Cons: There is red/pink debris floating in the water and settling at the bottom of the aquarium, which will require cleanup.

Feeds my 50 gallon outdoor goldfish pond
I place a cake in my outdoor 50 gal goldfish pond about once every 4-6 weeks until it is 100% eaten. I’ve been feeding my fish with these for about 9 months. Fish are healthy and seem happy and my daily feeding job suddenly became a monthly one. Water stays clear. All-in-all a great product.

Amazing and don’t cloud water
Very large. Easy to use. Works for many fish. I use these for vacation and can feed my mollies and plates for a week with no issue. I like these a lot for vacation or if I want to be lazy. Fish love them too. My city cats couldn’t get enough. Great value for the money.

Lasted the full two weeks. All fish were fine and water was clear when I came home.

Very helpful if you are going away. My pet sitter didn't have to worry about feeding the fish and they didn't get overfed. Lasted 10 days easily in large tanks.

I've used a lot of long time feeding blocks and these are the best. They last almost TOO long. I have a 20 gal tank and cut them in half for an entire week of feeding. Better than wasting the entire block :)
