I was keep looking for a proper water filter for long time. in the past I have used electrical ones with 8-9 filtering option. However, problem is they are most of the time causing water leakage, waste water amount is huge, and replacing filters becoming problem and costly. So I decided to go with non-electrician versions like British Berkefeld gravity water filter systems. Major reason I have chosen this brand they are a company of 2 centuries. That means once I need to replace any part of the system they will be there to supply. They will not just appear on Amazon once, sell the stuff and disappear. installation is quite easy, takes 30 minutes to wash everything and install. I let first a few tank of water to go for the first time cleaning purpose. Then we started to use it. Taste of the water definitely changes, it is much softer and you do not feel heaviness of the tap water. It is easy to fill up and use. That is what I was looking for. If you are looking for a water filter for long time use, and do not want to deal with lots of parts and hassle, this is your go to product.

I was quite pleased when I first got this, the 8.5 litre one, a bit bigger than I had expected but I bought a stand as well so it sits nicely at the back of the worktop. Assembly was easy but I wish there were more detailed instructions included as I made a mess of topping up. I had assumed that after drawing water off you could put another jugful in the top container, but some time later I found water all over the worktop, so it looks like you have got to wait until the bottom container is nearly empty before adding more water to the top container. It would be nice if there was a viewing window to see the levels as I now have to keep taking the top container off to see how much water is in the bottom. otherwise nice tasting water and a lot easier to keep drawing off the tap than using the brita water filter jug which we have been using. Also bought a stainless steel tap to replace the rubber one supplied.

I didn't trust the hideous cheap plastic spigot that came with it, so spent £6.99 on a stainless one. Well worth the money! For £148 you would think it would be included, but hey ho.Otherwise, easy to fit both spigot and filters. I followed the instructions and covered the candle filters with water.It filtered through in a couple of hours. Repeated the process and the third time I only added a couple of litres, emptying both containers and drying as recommended.Filled it to just above the candles one more time and it was ready to drink about an hour later.Lovely tasting water, no smell at all and it even makes cordial taste better!I will be making a stand for it as I don't want to pay £25-£40 for one and it will definitely make life easier.To sum up, highly recommended and will eventually pay for itself.To save from overfilling, when we pour a glass of water, we replenish the top tank with an equal amount of water.

I have used more water filters than I can count and I must say this is the best!!! Easy to fill up, easy to clean, easy to assemble, very robust, great quality, works fantastic and no leak problems and it also looks good! Even brought another one for my nanny. Would highly recommend. The filter is easy too! I have a Zero water filter before this one and it made my water taste like fish when it went so it’s nice not to have that any more. O

Water is pure and clean.Boils quicker due to less impuritiesTastes great!We only use this now for any water source, dog water, drinking water, for cooking. Everything reallyThis size would suit a couple or a small family of three, anymore would need and bigger unit.The tap is a bit poor quality but it doesn't leak so I will replace with a stainless steel unit in due course.I highly recommend this water filter and suggest that if you aren't aware what goes into your tap water that you do some research as it is quite scary

If you try this, bear in mind 1 litre of water will take approximately 1 hour to filter. The first 6 litres you filter need to be discarded so that’s around 12 hours before you can take a taste test! The water is nice though I prefer it to Brita filtered water and this method is much cheaper in the long run because you don’t constantly have to buy those expensive Brita cartridges…

However, had I not bought an additional stainless steel tap, I’d be stuck. The inclusive plastic tap (really though, why plastic?) came incomplete as there was no accompanying rubber ring and washer.Still, happy with the product, my whole family is excited about water out of the filter, and the kids are definitely drinking more, which is great.Here’s to (hopefully) having the kettle not have limescale buildup that has to be descaled frequently.And cheers to better health.

Everybody loves this, and the water tastes fantastic. Buy the stainless steel spigot accessory, it's worth the few extra bucks. I'm buying more of these for family members as holiday presents. It saves money on buying bottled water AND you don't have to worry about microplastics (if you worry about that sort of thing).

I love my new Berkey! This is just right for use while traveling. I have a sensitive stomach, so I don't drink tap water... not anywhere! The British Berkefeld Gravity Water Filter System is compact and easily packable, so I know I have truly clean water wherever I go.

J'ai attendu 12 mois avant de poster ce commentaire pour avoir le recul nécessaire et je suis absolument ravi de mon achat du filtre British Berkfeld Doulton ! Après l'avoir utilisé de suite je suis épatée par la qualité de l'eau qu'il produit. Non seulement il élimine efficacement les impuretés, mais il laisse également une saveur nette et fraîche à chaque gorgée. Son design solide et durable est un vrai plus, et son installation simple en fait un ajout pratique à ma cuisine. Je recommande vivement ce filtre à tous ceux qui recherchent une solution fiable pour améliorer la qualité de leur eau potable. Un investissement qui vaut vraiment la peine. J'ai fait des essais avec de l'eau de récupération, de pluie car nous bénéficions tout de même d'une eau courante de qualité.
