Upgraded 2PACK SS Wire Mesh, 4 Mesh Completely Welded, 12 X 24 in(310mm X 620mm), Stainless 304, Easy to Cut and Make Straight, Never Rust by Valchoose

Using this as a prefilter on the intake of my shop’s movable exhaust hood used for welding and grinding. Stopped problems with paper towels and plastic wrap cutting sucked into the exhaust fan. Doesn’t seem To cause much loss of flow, easy enough to shape and cut to fit my round intake.

Product was packed well and shipped for quick delivery. It is Stainless and the mesh size and wire diameters are as described. Its a bit pricey, but given the small cut size, thats to be expected and is fine; I don't want to have to buy a whole roll or sheet of this, so thanks to the seller for offering these small cut sizes! Also, the fold-line (as described multiple places in the description-to reduce shipping cost) can easily be restored to near-perfect... it just takes some smallish pliers and a few minutes to gently work the mesh back flat and straighten the wires out to be even more flat than the rest of the panel. I am using this mesh to prevent foreign object debris from entering the oil cooler air ducts on my ZR1. The wires cut easily with sheet-metal shears and the welds do not tear away easily indicating adequate weld penetration to provide sufficient strength for a non-woven mesh. Woven mesh is generally considered stronger but was not an option as my shapes have narrow portions and the resulting short wires tend to fall out of the weave. This welded mesh eliminates that problem, but requires proper weld process control to produce a strong mesh. My shapes were easily hand-formed post-cut, and without any issue of wire separation even wirh the small-ish (but as-described) wire diameters. I can recommend this product if the described physical parameters meet your requirements.

There are different sizes of screens sold on this webpage. I got the 11x14.2" dual pack screen. The did not come folded. On some of the larger screens, the screens come folded. Just as others have shown in photos, the top row wire had broken welds and was unraveling. If you do a lot of bending of the screens, more strands with come loose. I found it difficult to do a sharp bend of the screen. So, my corners are fairly rounded. I used this to fix holes in my crawl space screen where the rats were getting in. I kind just forced it in place and then screwed it down with sheet metal screws. It works but isn't pretty.

Used this to make a grate for my DIY ammo can firepit. The material was stiff yet easy enough to bend to form a grate cover. Put lava rocks on top of it and it’s holding up just fine. At first I was concerned that the coating would burn off and emit an odor but I haven’t experienced that at all.

the mesh size is great, but the wires aren't welded in place they're really just woven. We got this to mouse proof a vent opening and before we could install it over the entrance we had to bend each outer wire end back over to keep it from unraveling which was a bit more of a hassle than we were expecting.
