Asia: The Ultimate Cookbook

I saw this cookbook in a store and I was enamored with it. I checked Amazon and found it half the price so, I immediately ordered. So far, I am in love with this cookbook. It is beautifully made; the pages are the right thickness and has a nice hardcover. The book is well written and gives a lot of information about Asia and some history facts on the recipes. The recipes include clear instructions and majority of them have accompanying photos. I love that I can find a recipe from different regions in Asia. This book is perfect for playing dinner roulette. Some recipes in the book I have tried before at restaurants or because I attempted to make it at home. But, there are many many new recipes for me to try out at home and I can now make my favorites at home. With over 300 recipes this book will keep things fresh for a very long time.

So many amazing recipes and they're so good the dumpling recipe was my favorite

I love this book!! I might feel differently if I lived far from urban centers -- because this cookbook certainly relies on having essential Asian ingredients at hand. But it doesn't use such obscure ingredients that the recipes are useless. Every one I have tried is yummy -- and feels like a better homemade version of those dishes for which we used to depend on take-out. I haven't bought many cookbooks since the Internet jammed with home recipes. But this one looked so consistently appealing that I grabbed it -- and I'm glad I did.

Good thick cook book with plenty of authentic recipes. Pictures look great and directions are easy to follow

This is a massive, beautifully written and photographed cook book, with the recipe on one page and the photo on the next. I gave it to my son and he said this was exactly the sort of cookbook he had been looking for -- varied Asian cuisines, good instructions, and lovely photos of the finished dishes. After seeing it, I plan to buy one for myself.

I am so impressed with this cookbook. It exceeded my expectations. It is 800 pages! When I bought it I didn’t realize that. I just wanted an Asian cookbook and this was just such a good price on prime day. It even has a ribbon page binder to pin a recipe page. I will never have to look up another recipe of my favorite foods online ever again.

Great recipe book, with beautiful picture of each recipe in it. There is so many stuff to do such as desserts, mains, starters, snacks, and even cocktails. There is only one bad thing about his book is that I received it damaged, there is like a cut in the front cover.

My ASD son is a foodie and he has a love of Asian food. It’s easy to follow, the recipes are delicious and fun to make.

The recipes and the content in general are absolutely amazing, but finding anything in this book is almost impossible - the content page doesn’t tell you what recipes you can expect (it just says eg. “Desserts” but not what exactly) - if you want a recipe for dumplings you need to use the index, which is organised by ingredients/type of dish, so getting to one of the dumpling recipes takes ages. Because of that, the use of this cookbook is very annoying, you waste so much time on finding what you are looking for when that should be the exact purpose of this book - a collection of recipes from different Asian cuisines that allow you to find “everything” in one place - quickly. Well, you can find it, if you really desire to look for it 😅 However, as I have first stated - the recipes are great, explained thoroughly, there is an additional section describing the peculiar ingredients and why they are so unique. If only the content was stated more clearly and organised better I would probably use this book everyday, but because of the disorder I feel tired just by thinking of using this cookbook 😔
