I bought this to use when I go camping with my travel trailer. I don't run the fridge on propane while driving as I have extended daily drives around 10 hours at a time so I couldn't leave the items that need to stay cold in the fridge as they would spoil. This cooler did great at maintaining the ice that I started off with for four days and I am thrilled with that. The rope handles and ability to grab around each side of the cooler make lifting and carrying easy. The dual drain plugs work great to dump the water when you're done. I also like that the lid stays open unlike a Coleman unit that I have that won't stay open. I've not experience any leaking, always a plus! My only real gripe with this unit is that I wish that it came with storage baskets for the top that I had to buy separately. The ability to segregate your items and keep them dry up top is very handy. I used it to store lunch meats, cheeses and condiments to be able to easily pull the basket out and make lunch while at a rest area. I would have gladly paid a little more for that convenience if Rtic had offered it. Great unit and worth the price compared to others currently available.

Great cooler! Kept ice all weekend long

Outstanding! Looks great and stays crazy cold! Threw some Ice Packs, beverages, and food in this and headed out on the boat in 85 degree weather on a Saturday morning. By noon the water bottles were freezing and my N/A beer had ice crystals in it. 😮 Left the cooler in the boat overnight and headed out again on Sunday, ice packs still frozen solid and kept everything cold again for another day on the water. Really happy with the purchase.

The cooler was just as described and it was of very high quality. I love the way the cooler was designed and I'm eager to see how it performs on future camping trips.

The cooler is exceptionally effective for use in Central Florida and has successfully maintained the ice as promised. I recommend considering purchasing some for your team as the summer months approach. It is a worthwhile investment. We will observe its performance in the Roofing industry.

I love rtic and this cooler is no different. Keeps ice cold for days and it is very light compared to their older models. You can for a lot of food and drinks in here. Rtic makes super super durable coolers including this one.

UPDATE 8/28/2025: Rtic must be listening because I have purchased several other items with zero packing, quality control or damage problems. Quality control gets a 10. I have also purchased items that aren’t available here, directly from their website, that are perfectly packed, no damage. They also have smaller coolers with wheels now and lock closures instead of zippers. BRA-VO! The ceramic lined cups, mugs and jugs are available in everything from 16 ounce to 1 gallon. I know because I now own almost all of them…and yes, I am hiding them from my clepto sister. Water tastes so good I cannot describe it. I am not an easy sell, the ceramic lining makes a massive difference. BRAVO Rtic! This review will be updated as the cooler is used more. Rtic needs to invest in better packing boxes and materials. The first came punctured and discolored the plastic body. It wouldn’t be noticeable on a white cooler, but was on the Trailblazer. Second cooler box was also punctured, but no damage thus far. Pros: Cooler is lightweight for a 52 Retains cool temps Handles make carrying easy Nice to have plugs to release water and just add more ice as needed instead of dumping it out Cons: There are several tiny white pin holes on the interior lid that were left unsealed. These are located near the rubber seal. My concern is mold because they weren’t plugged. I saw them on both the first cooler that was damaged and returned, and this one. Photos won’t upload. No wheels, had to purchase the Rtic wagon cart. It fits in it, but I’d rather have wheels on the trailblazer 52 because my Sister will steal the wagon cart.
