Audio quality is AWFUL!
Do not buy this camera. The visual quality is fine, but after rewatching the video I recorded, the audio was horrible! it was way too quiet and distorted. I even placed the camera RIGHT in front of my mouth like a microphone to see if I just set it too far away and it STILL wasn't loud enough. I also tried THREE different USB microphones to plug into the camera and they didn't record any audio AT ALL. Complete silence. Don't get this camera, just pay more for a name-brand camera.

Doesn't work
Same experience as someone else who said "No matter what empty SD card I used it said file space want big enough and nothing ever started recording." So basically it is un-usable. Yes, I did try formatting the card before use.

I really wanted to like it.
It worked well… for about ten minutes. I was going to use it for live YouTube broadcasts. I tested it at home and it worked fine. I ran it while I tested microphones (there are several, for ambience) for about ten minutes and it worked fine.Then I stopped the live stream and waited for the event to start. When it did, YouTube couldn’t access the camera, said it was in use by another application.So I rebooted the camera, and it worked again for about thirty seconds, then gave me the same error message. So I rebooted the computer and camera - same thing, plus now, the picture was off-center, which I assume was something in the digital zoom that I had been using.At that point, I gave up and put it away, and never did get to put that session on YouTube, as it was about a quarter done by this time, and I didn’t have time to switch to a web cam. But I do now, and I will. I guess I got what I paid for with this camera.

sound is horrible. Stopped working just days after getting it.
Don't buy this camcorder. I would return it only the return window (and life happens) closed and I was too late. This was a Christmas gift for kid. What a disappointment. The sound you could barely hear and then within two weeks it wouldn't even turn on (and yes it had been charged).
